RE: Nomadio FULL Range 2.4Ghz aircraft radio

1. How about opening up your file format, so that folks can write their own programming tools?
2. User replaceable switches, buttons, knobs, etc.
3. Adjustable stick tension, length, ratchet,...

RE: Eflite Blade CX

Hello all,
I just picked my BCX up here in NC, the last one the shop had in-stock. Now, with less than 20 mins total flight time, I'm really pleased with how stable, and how well this heli flies...

RE: Latest KMP P-38 out (09-23-05)

I was thinking about picking up the KMP P-38, to replace my VQ (sniff), and had just put my Spring-air retracts on Ebay (since the KMP comes with them).

You guys are making me rethink that.

RE: The most annoying sayings

Stupid questions don't bother me. We were all ignorant once....

"Can I fly your plane?"
I say "No, but after you write me a check, you can fly YOUR plane."

"Is that a toy plane?"
I say...

RE: FMA Co-pilot on a Hawk Sport?

As far as I know, the FMA co-pilot works on either planks or choppers. The newer FS8 co-pilot can be fitted with a "Z-sensor" which will roll the aircraft from inverted, although I tested the...

RE: Life and death of a Lightning

Thanks for your replies, bros. I talked to a pattern flyer from the same field, he told me he lost a 1.20 sized pattern plane in the same way a few weeks earlier: the wingtip touched the high grass...

RE: ALUMINUM GIMBALS STICKS FOR EVO 9?

I've seen some pro heli pilots glue a tiny circle of sandpaper to the tips of the sticks. This provided (seems to) the precise control they demand for competition.

Lemme know how it works for...

Life and death of a Lightning

I got the Lightning tuned up to perfection, and both Saito .82 4-cycle engines were singing from 3K to 9K RPMs on two-bladed props. The wing was straighter than an irish cop, and I double checked all...

RE: KMP-P38 Electric

Looks like a very clean set-up, I'd love to see some in-flight video. How long does it take to charge the batteries, what charger and what kind of flight time?

Thanks,

RE: FMA Co-pilot on a Hawk Sport?

I have the latest co-pilot (integrated receiver) on my Hawk Sport. I'm not trying to sell you one, but I have found that the receiver is excellent, and it's built-in fail safe has 'caught' the heli...

RE: Vq P-38, Assembly Begins

Sam,
I'm having a rough time getting the gear doors set up, can you please post some photos of your arrangements? Did you use the supplied hinges?

Thanks,

Pete

RE: Electric VQ!!

I'd love to see some close-up shots of your gear doors and door hinges. I'm having trouble figuring out how to properly hinge them, and get them to close with the retracts.

Thanks,

RE: 83' VQ models P-38 electric conversion

Congrats on your flight!

The plane turned out beautiful, and I really enjoyed the video of your flight. Did you have any problems with orientation, with a grey airframe at twilight? It seemed...

VQ P-38 flaps

I'm finishing up a VQ P-38 ARF, with twin Saito .82s. I'm using a Hitec Eclipse radio and have a few quick questions:

The flaps seem to me, to be kind of spongey. Will this affect landing? They...

I'm building a VQ P-38, and would love to come out and see the KMP (or ANY other ) Lightning in the air. I usually fly out of Burlington, east of Greensboro, but will make the drive out...

I've heard good things about this:

RE: Vq P-38, Assembly Begins

Just got the kit, first impressions......

Kind of suprised how un-big it is, I expected a larger plane (my big eyes, I guess). The fit and construction is overall pretty good, with the exception...

Co-pilot use on a twin? P-38?

I'm planning on using a FMA FS8 receiver on my VQ P-38, and was wondering about the effects of using the co-pilot flight stablization as well:

I've tested the FMA co-pilot on a trainer, and was...
