you definitely don't need all the carbon fibre fancy parts for the trex to fly well but having the metal head and a decent gyro certainly helps when it comes to mild stunts/3D. I would suggest...

i use my dx6 with realflight and it made a huge difference for me using the remote i fly with. Its probably the next bext thing to using the sim.

ive got a copterX450 and compared it with the align 450 metal head and there is very little difference between them. The quality is basically the same, certainly not worth the extra $200 or whatever...

i didnt have to cut any plastic to fit mine in,they were perfect. perhaps your blade grips got sqeezed together a bit from when your carbon blades were on?

you could also swap the ail and aux plugs on the reciever then you might also have to reverse them on the radio.

The DX6i would be a good choice and its only about $240 here in Aus at *********.com.au . If you ever do get into nitro helis then the thought of having to pay for a new radio shouldnt bother you...

i wouldnt put any more effort into the walkera. Ive been down the same road as you and the sooner you ditch the 60 and focus on the trex the better. I would sell the walkera and put the cash from it...

ive just recently got a trex and have put sg90 servos on cyclic and tail and it feels great, to me these servos feel a little bit more 'locked in' than a few other different brand/size micro servos...

i know exaclty what you mean, these heli's are very cheap and with the speed the blades go on these, a heli is the last thing you want to be skimping on quality, ive had a pair of cheap blades snap...

Ive got the walkera 60 and although it flys fine, they seem to break and wear out very quickly just from normal use, most notably the crappy frame, so u might be better off buying a decent quality...

xero, ive had that same motor problem, and i tried 3 different esc's with the motor and i still had the problem. Im not 100% sure but i would say that the motor is damaged.
