I'd suggest buying an "indestructible" plane - something like an aerobird, because they're very strong, and even if you do manage to break something, spare parts are very cheap.

TBH all you need to make it noticably better are two (quality) 7-cell battery packs. I've never broken anything on my emaxx, but I hear that RPM parts are the ones to go for for durability.
