RE: Composite-Arf 2.6 Extra 330

I got mine from a Circuit bord manufacturer. Ask a buddy in the electronics field. Chances are he'll know where you can get some.

RE: Composite-Arf 2.6 Extra 330

I also upgraded my surface horns. I used PCB core material. Really just fiberglass board. Traced the outline of the original horn and cut/sanded. Took all of about 20 minutes and are substantially...

DA-100 idle speed in flight

Hello all,

Just wondering what RPM is good for the DA100 during 3D flight to be sure the motor does not quit during tail slides etc. I always have a high idle(approx. 2000 RPM) for flight, then...

RE: Gas Vent line

I had to loop mine above and behind the tank. Before I was getting a lot of gas coming out from pressure. You all know how a jerry can will build pressure when the cap is tight. Our fuel tanks do...

RE: LiPo RX pack size??

Totaly agree. Two 2000Mah packs should get you around a dozen flights depending on your gear. Non-digital servos may net you more flights yet.

RE: Charging Li-Po -vs- Li-ion

The reason they mentioned no other lithium batteries is that there are non re-chargable lithium cells in many products and can be bought as cells as well. Many people think that because they are...

RE: 2.3m Depron Extra 330

I for one am very interested in this! I'm looking forward to seeing more. If it's like anything in the video, I'll buy one. Any closer pics of the prototype?

RE: Composite-Arf 2.6 Extra 330

They won't fit without cutting a small portion of cowl away. I'd get the compact ones made for this plane.

RE: YOUR 35% or AEROBATIC AIRPLANE PICS>>

RE: Fromeco batteries: 2200 or 4400 mA?

Almost,

Swap the switch with the regulators and your good to go. I like Formecos or Power Flite or Duralite regulators. Fromecos are probably better.

RE: Fromeco batteries: 2200 or 4400 mA?

Of course! Loose wires, loose solder balls, broken wiper parts etc. can all cause a short in a switch causing it to fail in the on position.

RE: Fromeco batteries: 2200 or 4400 mA?

:):):) Thats funny!

The switch failure is from the excessive engine vibration in the airframe. The contacts move and rub a little during each vibration oscillation and wear very quickly. Some...

RE: Fromeco batteries: 2200 or 4400 mA?

Why is two switches unnecessary? I think two switches is a great idea seeing as switch failures are one of the biggest reasons planes come down.... HARD!

RE: Fromeco batteries: 2200 or 4400 mAh

I run two 2200 packs, two regulators and two switches to my reciever on my 2.6M composite arf. More than enough and safe!

RE: Fromeco batteries: 2200 or 4400 mA?

Simple, Two 2200 packs, two switches. One 2200 will not handle the current. Two puts you in the same park as a single 4400 (Which is just 2 2200 packs in parallel) and gives you a chance to run two...

RE: Composite-Arf 2.6 Extra 330

No hole on my cowl either! 10 flights so far, and other than running rich with a little mid range burbble (New engine), all is well.

RE: 90 degree intake on DA?

I was curious about this as well. I have the DA-100 in a Composite-Arf 2.6 with no air opening in the cowl for the carb. It runs great, but fuel of course gets sprayed out of the carb and soaks the...

RE: Composite ARF - 3.0 Extra - Painting Pics

Very nice job Rick! Did you weigh the airframe before painting to see how much a difference adding the paint will be?
