RE: Best durable bashing for a father and 6 year old, or best Slash build for them

I own a Rustler and it's well near bulletproof, only broken one stock plastic part (and a spur gear) in it's lifetime - several years. From what I've heard, the Slash is just as if not more durable....

RE: 16/90 Mamba 4600 still hot!! Slash

I would imagine the brake and drag brake would up the heat levels, try turning them off completely. Also check for any binding in the drivetrain.

While on the topic, what sort of gearing do...

RE: Class Survey (please help)

Sorry, but no I would not like a device like this simply because it wouldn't work.

The amount of energy you gain from a turbine would be less than the amount you lose from drag and extra weight....

RE: anything i can do to widen my rustler?

Yes, I understand that increasing the distance between the rear and front wheels makes steering much more 'fine tuned' - I'm just interested as to what exactly about a longer chassis makes a car...

RE: anything i can do to widen my rustler?

How does a longer chassis improve high speed handling?? The only thing I can see that achieving is making it more difficult to wheely.
I would imagine a wider chassis would always improve handling,...

RE: trying to remove screw with stripped head

hahaha yes I was desperate... if you're really unlucky though you could end up supergluing the screw in even more which wouldn't exactly help

RE: trying to remove screw with stripped head

I once ended up supergluing the tip of a screwdriver to the stripped out head as it was too small and tucked away to do anything else. Held it in place with clamps and left it overnight. Took the...

RE: Lipo pack sizes

You could try cut out the bit of plastic at the rear end of the battery tray, that would make some more room, but I'm not sure.

I would also appreciate advice on lipo packs for the rustler!

RE: heatsink

You wouldn't need a 3 channel radio, but it would be nicer. You could hook it up to a seperate battery, or I think most receivers have a bat socket you can plug these things into. Not sure on this...

RE: Rustler XL-5 FAST!!!!! and long run time!!!

Glad to see you enjoying your rustler, I got one, recently upgraded to a mamba max, so much fun. However, the motor gets bloody hot, probably the lack of ball bearings that I'm going to get soon.

I'm also going brushless with my rustler XL-5 (well, won't be XL-5 after), and I was wondering, would I need to re-grease the transmission when I replace the stock idler with an aluminium? are there...

RE: Official Rustler Thread

Well, I'll be ordering my rustler within a few days now, just need to clarify something.
What sort of a difference in run time will there be between a 3000mAh and a 3900mAh NiMH?
