RE: Hangar 9 Electric Spitfire

Thanks for the feedback guys.......

My ESC fried up big time on the ground last saturday. The people at the shop I bought it from don't think it was due to a cooling problem, rather a one in a...

RE: Hangar 9 Electric Spitfire

Hey thanks John,

I would have much preferred not to have cut the cooling holes, but I think it was better to safe than sorry as I fly in tropical conditions for a fair amount of the year.

RE: Hangar 9 Electric Spitfire

For anyone else looking to build a H9 electric Spit, might be of help re: my thread above:

1. The supplied H9 mount is too long to use with the E-Flight 60 & needs to be cut down. Cut off the...

Engine sound module for an electric 60 size Spit

Does anyone know of a suitable engine sound (Merlin) module for a Hangar 9 60 size Spit?

I don't want anything that's too heavy & therefore going to affect performance too greatly. I saw an...

RE: New Product - Electric Extra 330L RTF 3D kit

Hi Kenneth,

I had the CG on mine at 65mm behind the LE. At that it's a little nose heavy but it stable. If you want to throw it around a bit more just add a few grams of lead near the tail with...

RE: New Product - Electric Extra 330L RTF 3D kit

This isn't a robust or well made product. The ESC is not well sited & has virtually no airflow over it at all. If you ran it with the plane stationary at full or near-full throttle, that would almost...

RE: Mini Funtana X CG advice - doing the Blender

Thanks Troy.
I have seen a clip here in Oz of it and the blender is really flat with a beautiful smooth exit inverted and in a straight line..... Looks fantastic. I guess I need to get more...

Mini Funtana X CG advice - doing the Blender

I am relatively new to 3D and have just moved up from a foamie to the Funtana (Electric). I have the CG set 95 mm behind the LE as specified, which makes the plane fly very well & it seems to be well...

RE: New Product - Electric Extra 330L RTF 3D kit

I think you're right about the ESC overheating. Instead of putting it back in the compartment behind the firewall I've put it on the new wood mount under the cowling where it should get a good blast...

RE: New Product - Electric Extra 330L RTF 3D kit

The motor on my Extra finally went the way most others seem to have gone & seized up too. It didn't spin off the prop, but the short circuit actually melted the battery connector. I couldn't...

I have had the same problem as rchd724, only the entire horizontal stab broke free coming out of a loop. Somehow I hanaged to get it on to the ground inverted and amazingly...

RE: New Product - Electric Extra 330L RTF 3D kit

I reckon this thing is worth the A$180 just for the laughs I had reading the instructions!

I've only flown mine for an hour or so. Major problems initially with the RX antenna routing. It runs...

Brushless ESC set up question.

I'm setting up a Tower Pro 30A ESC with a 2S 1500Ma Lipo and a Park 370 outrunner. the ESC is asking for:
