RE: 41% Eye Candy

Shaun,

From what I have experienced, three 5955s are perfect on pull-pull and two work well if you place them in the tail on push-pull. Two is not quite enough on pull-pull.
You'll love the...

RE: Wildhare 41% Extra 300

I attached mine by drilling and tapping a 4-40 hole into each landing gear leg. The instructions indicate that they can be glued or screwed on.
I also added a strip of split neoprene tubing around...

Hey Bobby,

Yea, I know . I realized after the fact that my wife had just changed the batteries. The actual date should have been June 3rd.
I'm hoping to get some good trim flights on...

Because its a RUSH!! You have a 30% to 50% plane suspended right in front of you [sm=what_smile.gif]. You can feel the blast of wind and hear the roar coming from the engine. Its the fact that...

RE: wood prop for 102" w/ DA100 ?

I used a Bolly 27X10 wooden prop. These spin up very quickly for 3D. They do tend to bark a little so make sure you don't have any noise restrictions.

RE: Is it true that twins will hover easier?

Whether your engine is a twin cylinder or a single cylinder has nothing to do with stability in a hover. Vibration really isn't much of an issue with today's singles. I've see ZDZ 80s as smooth as...

RE: tail wheel problems

After my third flight on my 102", I noticed the plane wasn't turning very well when taxiing back. The bushing on the tailwheel had completely froze. All of the hardware was now rotating (barely)...

RE: Let's see some videos and pics of your QQ Yaks

Here is a pic after the third flight on the aircraft. The plane flew awesome. There is very slight roll coupling but I'll mix it out after I move the CG back and get a few more flights on the...

RE: QQ-Yak 54 102" Generation II

OK so why are you saying not to use loctite? The 4mm screw and washer will definitely vibrate out without some type of split washer, neoprene backed washer, or loctite.
I only ask this because I...

RE: QQ-Yak 54 102" Generation II

I posted this question before but did not get a response. Is it necessary to close off the cannister tunnel on the 102" when using standard mufflers? Are there any pressure issues...

RE: QQ-Yak 54 102" Generation II

Are most people that use standard mufflers sealing the pipe tunnel at the bulkhead opening? If so what are you using, ultracote covering or thin plywood?

Any word on the new manual?

Thank...

RE: 36% katana world models/aero works/bme 110 extream?

I sure don't. I'm running the standard mufflers. Cans might help a little but they aren't that much more weight and the weight is placed closer to the CG where it won't effect it much....

RE: 36% katana world models/aero works/bme 110 extream?

RE: Aviation Models 33% Yak Build Thread

I'm thinking about getting one of these and putting my BME 110 on it. I bet it would fly like a shocky on three cell lipos.
Lots of power and very lite.
