RE: tires growing

Where do you run the car? If it's reasonably well maintained asphalt then definately get a set of foam tyres. It sounds like your not racing it, so get the hardest compound you can. The higher the...

RE: Found a problem while breaking in my LD3

On a .12 sized engine, finger on the flywheel is the easiest once you've done it a couple of times. Just dont put it on slowly, you'll friction burn your finger.

RE: What kind of car is this?

Dont turn them all the way in. All sorts of funny results and problems then.

The website will apply to your car. The brass coloured screw on the side of the carby - that is your "mid-speed...

RE: Nitro Problem - Flameout

Doesn't matter now, everything is back together and I'll be practicing at the track tomorrow morning.

And next time she drives a nitro car, it'll be my buggy...

RE: Nitro Problem - Flameout

Yeah, I'm going to try richening it up a little more and see how it goes. Problem is I gave my girlfriend a drive (she didn't want to so it's my fault) and first corner, smash. New bumper, pivot ball...

Nitro Problem - Flameout

I've got a flameout problem. It will only happen after I have used about 2/3 to 3/4 of a tank. I'm wondering whether this is more of a temperature issue or a fuel pickup issue. I have a GPX-4 with...

RE: Hyper 12 lost Compression

I always use the x-pattern. All bolts were done up tight. I'm catching up with someone who's been running these cars for a while now over the weekend to help me work it out. I hope its not a new...

Hyper 12 lost Compression

The other day, I took the head of my Hyper 12 to check the condition of the piston. The engine has only really just finished break-in so the piston was fine, a little discoloured from running rich....

RE: how do your buggies hold up while bashing

I have a Hyper 7 TQ RTR. I have broken two steering knuckles, front CV joint, melted rear diff cover and a steering servo.

Upgraded all of them (except the diff case, no upgrade possible) and...

RE: newbie having problems with nitro

If you running in sand, I hope you've got a good airfilter. Sand getting into the engine will very quickly kill it.

RE: newbie having problems with nitro

Also, check the compression. Slowly pull on the pullstarter. The car should at least have 1 or 2 wheels come off the ground. If it turns over very easily, then you dont have enough compression. If...

RE: HERE IT IS!!! HYPER GPX4!!

I've got the GPX4 RTR and I think mine must have the gear diff in it. My brakes certainly don't spin the car around. Adjusting the clutch is best done by taking the engine out. They say you can do it...

RE: I killed mu super 10

I still miss the logic. My cars have pissed me off and cost me a large amount of money but you don't see me bending the chassis. Just lust weekend, I was winning a race when the battery wires broke...

RE: I killed mu super 10

Great job. So instead of selling the thing for a little bit of money, you chose to destroy the car? Am I missing the logic here... ? [sm=confused.gif]

RE: need cad drawings

You'll need to mention more than that. Which program do you need it in. Which components (just the chassis etc.)? What kind of size car?

RE: another newbie, another problem

Definately go and check the head bolts and glow plug. If either of these is loose, then you'll lose your compression.

RE: ofna 2 speed

You can hear them shift. I havent personally heard mine yet as it's still on run in, but you can hear them.

Take the 2-speed set out of the car. You'll have 4 screws (Step 27 on page 24 of the...

I can't hear mine yet as im still running it in so I haven't pushed it quick enough. However, you can hear them shift. At the local indoor racing, most cars are GPX4's and you can hear them shift...
