RE: CRRC GF45i

Hi Alan.
Q1. I think that the motor in the yellow model is the latest version, V3. I could be wrong, but it could be explained somewhere in this thread. ( If you have a spare life time to go...

RE: CRRC GF45i

Hi 00airman.
I have run a 22x8 Zinger prop.
The revs dropped from 8300 (20x8 APC) down to 5550 rpm.
The thrust increased from 20lbs to 22lbs.
The motor had little if any response above half...

RE: CRRC GF45i

Your motor should have no probs swinging a 20x8 prop to well over 7500 rpm.
I can only suggest that you look for other probs. A good place to start would be mixture settings & air flow around the...

RE: CRRC GF45i

Hi Bulletproof.
You may be running a prop that is a little big in dia. I had the same thing when I went from a 20x8 to a 22x8. Also, using the bigger prop the motor will not rev over about 5600...

RE: CRRC GF45i

Hi Guys.
This topic was covered some time ago & if memory serves me correct, adding the tube does little if anything.
I think most people cut a hole in the cowl or increased the size of the inlet...

Hi Alan.
Where in Oz can one buy these motors at the prices you have quoted ? Certainly not in the hobby shops in Melbourne.

RE: CRRC GF45i

Hi Doug.
What type of cable do you have between the throttle arm & throttle servo ? Is it metal ? If it is, change it to a plastic one ( non conductive ).
Is there anything in the way of wiring...

RE: CRRC GF45i

You might be best to use a hi octane petrol if possible.
Adjust your mixtures till it runs smoothest with best performance by ear & tacho if you have one.

*Very important* - make sure that...

RE: CRRC GF45i

Hi Bulletproof.
How old is your motor ?
Versions 1 & 2 had plastic intake manifolds, these will bend & leak after some time. If it is a chrome intake it should be ok.
The best mixture settings...

RE: CRRC GF45i

Hi Guys.
Just want to clear up a point on volumes.
This is where most people get it wrong when comparing fuel prices between Aus & US. Australia do/did use the Imperial gallon.

1 US...

RE: CRRC GF45i

Hi Simone.
I have had some surging as well. The cause of the problem has always been fuel supply, usually a slightly squashed fuel line or partly blocked filter. Both times when this has occurred,...

RE: CRRC GF45i

Hi Hardtop.
I bought my CRRC 45 in December 05.
The first thing I did was change the spark plug to a resistor type. Hey presto, all radio probs gone, no glitches, no twitching, no foil, nothing....
