I did that overing method years ago -using scale size panels of ultracote -and used a pounce wheel on the back side to impress rivets - worked fine - glued on with dope

btw-thanks for the compliments - it was a labor of love -would you believe I also made an L-21(super cub L-4 ) from the same drawings and pics of the full size put a 3w 80 in it and used balsa usa's...

no Bud is a scratch built 12' original design- OS 300 twin with on board starter -flies very scale - flown @ Top Gun ,Masters, Nats etc.

I like the Seamonster almost as well as the Seamaster ARF- the Seamaster has a flat bottom hull so rides in the water better and doesn't tend to oscillate in bank during rough water takeoffs - but...

by far the best aerobatic seaplane is the ARF Ace Seamaster - it does the easiest and best slow and point rolls of any seaplane - and most land planes.

I have 2 of them--use giant scale servos for elevator and rudder -as much for their wider mounting base as torque - any heavy gear servo of around 70 in/oz or better for ailerons
