RE: Walkera Dragonfly 22E Sim Cable Help

Not to discredit this method of cable, since I DO have one and used it for quite awhile, but the smartpropo does work if you tweak with it. Make sure you try it in both your mic input AND line in...

RE: Official HDX-450 Thread

Thanks for the shining review Scott! :D

Yeah I'm currently running DS285 servos, and the 401gy S9650 combo the tail. The 285's work OK, but now that i'm getting into 3D i think I may have to...

RE: Official HDX-450 Thread

That's a questions better asked in a CopterX thread, not the HDX thread! [8D]

My view on it is that CopterX is still make... by Walkera. I've owned a walkera, and wasn't impressed with their...

RE: Night flying lighted blades / frame

Mmm I didn't even think of that. I assumed you were running the driver off of a ESC/BEC or your receiver , which would've reduced the voltage to it. Makes sense now.

Heliproz usually has pretty...

RE: Night flying lighted blades / frame

I'm afraid the only way I know of is to hook it up to another glow driver. Unfortunately if you had another to test it with you wouldn't be asking this so... [:@]:D

RE: Night flying lighted blades / frame

Yeah man if it softened the adhesive enough to notice and it's not "buzzing" anymore it's probably a faulty driver. Call align US and have them replace it, or see if your distributor will give you...

RE: Official HDX-450 Thread

Hey that looks great sambo! I bet that will help with orientation.

I'm waiting for my next order from helidirect to snag one of those green and blue and white plastic canopies, can't wait!

RE: Official HDX-450 Thread

This just means your flybar is tighter than your blade grips. Once the head is spinning, it should work fine, as the flybar will try to stay level.

RE: Transmitter help

If you had done your research you'd know that the 7CHP and 7CAP are great radios for helis, the only difference being the location of switching and functions. If you're asking us whether you should...

RE: Walkera Dragonfly #36

Heck no man! Believe it or not, I have more time to tinker at college. During the summers I have eratic work schedules, and this summer I had a class to attend to. When i get back to school i'll have...

RE: Walkera Dragonfly #36

Lol, way to put it bluntly :)

RE: Official HDX-450 Thread

I'm curious how it "gave out"? My gear set seems of poor quality. The bottom gear is not true at all, and wobbles alot. Plus I swear the autorotation shaft isn't set into the bottom gear perfectly...

RE: Official HDX-450 Thread

It won't harm anything to run backwards, but you won't be going anywhere. You'll just spin the main gear, and the one way bearing will prevent the rotors from turning.

Yeah the HS-55 probably...

RE: Official HDX-450 Thread

I'm not very well versed in cheap tail servos, but I know guys that use the Tower Pro 9g on the walkera helis.

Make sure you get some bullet connectors to go between the ESC and motor. You don't...

RE: Official HDX-450 Thread

No problem, I love using my camera :)

Mmm yeah those are a PITA. Just wait till you have to take it back off . The best way I've found is to unscrew the rear ball link rod, snap on the...

RE: Walkera Dragonfly #36

Well, sorta. If your gain is too high, the tail will constantly wag. You said it only "wags" or vibrates when you give it input. It could also be hunting, in which case you need to turn up your...

RE: Walkera Dragonfly #36

That sounds like maybe one tail blade is looser than the other, or that you're getting more pitch in one tail blade than the other, or your shaft or slider is out of round. Any of those things could...

RE: Official HDX-450 Thread

DX7 would be great to use! If cost isn't a large factor, a Castle Creations or Kontronic Jazz 35A ESC, and some Flight Power or Thunder Power 2100mah 20C lipos would be great. If cost is a factor,...

RE: Official HDX-450 Thread
