All I'm going to say there Peetie is was the TA03F setup properly for your driving style? the old 03's need to be setup properly otherwise I agree that they arent anything flash. Once setup...

Its only worth getting if its the TA03F and if it comes with the Carbon Fibre or FRP chassis plates. The standard plastic tub chassis isnt too good at all.

Dont bother with one of these. Parts availability isnt great plus for those kind of dollars you can already get yourself a nice Tamiya kit with electrics.

hehe you know I have all of the chassis you mentioned there.

Pro-D: I actualy quite like my pro-d. Its totaly geared towards lipo's in terms of the weight distribution and lipo's of all sizes...

Mitchsterbrau took the pics after a bunch of us on audrift thought it might be nice to take one big group photo of all the 03's everyone could muster. Still waiting to see the other, better pics.

Thanks man :)

I used transluncent orange backed with bright silver (tamiya ps colours) for the main body. The bonnet was done with 3 coats of smoke then some Duck seeming tape backed with black.

hehe Should see the group photo that was taken a few weeks ago of all the TA03's we have here in Perth WA. There were around 30 or so all lined up and not a tub in sight, all CF chassis ;)

If your drifting on a track then stick to belt driven cars. You'll get much smoother delivery of power and alot less torque steer, especialy if you plan on running a brushless motor. TA05's arent...

Yeah the old Tamiya's dont like the newer bigger Nimh packs and forget about getting a square shaped Lipo in there :P Lipos are the main reason I've upgraded all my TA03's to use the CF battery...

Well I'd have to say a longer wheelbase is better and more stable. My TA03F-S is alot harder to keep under control than my full size TA03F and I've experienced the same thing with a Genetics mini...

Rcmart still have the TA03R in stock. You can then just order the B parts tree from ebay and you can convert the R into an F real easy.

Parts seem to be slowly popping up again now too and...

Well if you want to put it that way then yeah even my cheap TT01 can drift as well as a Sprint2 if its setup correctly. I totally I agree with you there. :)
