RE: New boat video

Yes my reeds are carbon epoxy. I am not using stops. I were scared by frayed tips stories but my reeds seem to hold up better than my fears.

RE: New boat video

The upnosed boat you have seen is discontinued. This is brand new from scratch, vid is second run. No prop nut in real life either, this weekend I lost a prop because of it for the first time, maybe...

RE: New boat video

I had a set of home made reeds warp after the engine had been sitting for a long time, my epoxy did not handle the fuel I guess. Other than that no problems with the reeds, still got only about two...

RE: New boat video

The boat has monster...

RE: New boat video

Yes, that was certainly close, I did not consider the z-bend in the dock. If you listen closely I can be heard to give out a scared cry just after the incident.
The boat's most prominent (and fun)...

New boat video

Hello friends
Tested my new boat this weekend, it was FUN. It is a thrilling drive, acute handling, silly acceleration and faaast. Does need to be trimmed some to stay wet at top speed, hence the...

RE: Do it yourself hardware

Stylish piece Doug! But were did you use the router? Is the strut bearing ordinary (K&S) brass tubing? Back-cut prop?

RE: Do it yourself hardware

Thanks for your answers and interest.

The strut bearings are lead-teflon permaglides. The hinge is ss rod in reamed holes. The 40 mm height of the hinge makes for low forces. This method I have...

Do it yourself hardware

From time to time someone asks about making his own hardware. I do my own because I: want to use custom blades, don't want the weight from a 1/4" ply transom, want a soldered ferrule flex that I can...

RE: Here is the latest in my Fleet

I was referring to the silicone coupler. But from your reply I conclude that you inject water into the manifold before the coupler, in wich case I have no experience and appologize.

RE: Wave Rider Stepped Deep Vee video

I see you edited the old prop to x470/3, that is a great prop, probably among the best he'll find for that hull.

RE: Wave Rider Stepped Deep Vee video

You are much too kind, don't go out of your way to produce that pic, I believe you. Im sure the designer of the boat did a fine job, it is a stylish boat.

Be well

RE: Wave Rider Stepped Deep Vee video
