Thanks for the help, 80-88" is just as easy to build so that's what we will do, this will be my 1st scratch built spad, I have built a few Aircores, still have the colt and trainer.

60" wingspan DVII

I have a 32cc McCulloch weed wacker the guy across the street gave me, would this have enough power for a 60" DVII ?

Just my opinion but I would think that if wire is heated to the point it glows orange it is already anealed just as when heating cast iron, further is it really necessary to heat it to that point.

instead of using fluted hinges on mine i used dubro heavy duty hinges, as they have more bearing area than the standard ones install them just as you would for a balsa build up they work great.

100% pure silicone works best wipe muffler halves down with brake clean to remove any oily residue let wipe dry with paper towel i also use lock tite on all screws.
