RE: Typhoon 3D

The more you fly it, the more you'll love it. It's a great durable learning plane.

RE: Diamante 25e ARF

Any flights yet?! I was eyeballing this plane myself. I was set on the Fliton AJ until I saw the Diamante. Any videos?

RE: hacker motors to light inndoor planes?

I've flown the e-flite 250 and have had very good luck with it. Hacker and Axi both make awesome motors, but don't overlook the 250. It's a great little motor in my opinion.

RE: E-Flight Mini Edge/motor $85? or....

I built my mini edge stock, with the pull-pull set-up. I'm powering it with the 480 outrunner and a Common Sense 11.1 2100 and it flies awesome. The only thing I've modified so far is the landing...

RE: Motor For AJ Extra?

The Power 10 should be perfect. I love my e-flite motors and have been very pleased with everything from the 250, up to the Power 60. In my opinion, it's good stuff.

RE: Why no carbon fiber planes?

I agree. Blade CP + Carbon blades + dining room table = exploding carbon bits. It was awesome.

RE: Whats your favorite 3D foam biplane?

There are a ton of good ones, but my favorite is the Ultimate FX 3D. Once I had it dialed it, it was the most predictable plane I had. It flew indoor very nicely, but it wasn't too light to fly on...

RE: What kinds of Planes do you guys have?

If I list all my planes, it will only make me cry, so I'll just list the ones I'm currently flying, or getting ready to build:

RE: 25 amp ESC not arming

Process of elimination is the way to go. Hook the same electronics into another rx and see if the esc arms then. If not, hook everything back to the original rx, and try another esc. Keep going...

RE: Equivelent brushless motor size

One option is just to upgrade your battery to a 2 cell lipo. You'll need to make sure your esc has a lipo cut-off, or install a separate cut-off, but you'll be shedding weight and still maintaining...

RE: comparing glow and electric

Matt's explanation is excellent. A slightly more simple way to put it, is it is about power-to-weight ratio. Companies are giving you so much information these days on their brushless motors (power...

RE: lipo in f-27B stryker?

The 3 cell lipo in the Stryker will give you excellent performance. At our local flying field, everyone flying strykers now flies lipos. The 2100 11.1 lipo is perfect, plus it will work great when...

RE: Maiden Flight - J-3 Cub 25 on Floats

If you still have snow on the ground, it can make a nice place to practice ladings. The floats work good as landing skiis on snow.

RE: Batteries

This doesn't answer your question on who manufactures the cells, but I can tell you that the person I know who still flies 2/3s loves the Elites. I suppose it's possible Elite is making their own...

RE: JR 7202 OR 9303

I still fly my 6102 (I just can't seem to part with it), and I was drooling over the 7202, BUT my friend loves his 9303 and says he thinks that besides the synthesized crystal set-up, the 9303 is...

RE: New to electric park flyers

A prop specifically labelled "slow fly" has a wider, fuller blade on the prop compared to a "sport" prop. The prop covers more surface area, so it moves more air, but at the same time, spins slower...

RE: Need Help

I second that notion. The Blade CX2 is an excellent learning heli. In my opinion, it is the best way to learn indoors.

RE: difficult to install berg crystal on a berg 4L receiver

The crystal should not be hard to push into place, but it will stick out a tad. All I did was wrap a small piece of electrical tape around the crystal to hold it in place. On another one, I just...

RE: HET F18 HAND LAUNCH

I don't know if you have tried it yet, but my friend says he has not hand launched any of his HET jets. He said he is leary of hand launching them, so he uses his high-start.
