My Patriot has a supertiger gs 45 with a tuned pipes and turns a 10x6 master airscrew 16,750 on 15% Byrons fuel. I built this plane myself it was my first kit. All I can say is this is an awsome...

I also have a tower 61. I must be the lucky one. Mine works great and it has a ton of power. It sounds like your drawing in air from somewhere in order to keep running with the barrel closed.
