Dewalt 36 volts battery

I'm planning of making my own battery packs out of a Dewalt battery. I've read somewhere that newer Dewalt batteries are not made by 123 anymore. Is this true? How many cells are there in each pack?...

RE: New E Revo. Which Brushless??

It's impossible to use just one 6-7 cells. You need at least 12 cells ni-mh or 3s lipo. I think your best option would be a MM/Feigao 8xl on 12 cells with external BEC.

RE: NiCd Charging Woes

I'm not familiar with your charger but 15-minute chargers are designed for nicad 1200-1800mah packs. What you need to do is to find out the charging current of your charger by hooking an ammeter in...

Max ni-mh discharge rate for 0610i

I'm planning to buy 0610. What is the maximum discharge rate for nickel-based batteries?
Thanks. The manual does not mention about discharging ni-mh, only lipo.

Do you believe in form-charging?

Do you believe in form-charging (C/10) your packs initially for the first few cycles?
I always charge my new batteries at 1C from the start.

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD

Thanks guys. I know that a 3.5T is bad idea for the stampede. It is actually for my TC4. I was using a 12G wire for the motor and the sensor wire is new. It's just probably a compatibility issue. I...

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD

I have a stampede that's been running on LRP 3.5T (9800kv) with mamba max esc on GP3900, 6-cell pack geared 12/84 with no heating problems, just some start-up cogging.
I recently bought the...

RE: Official Rustler Thread

Thanks to everyone who answered my question regarding those narrow Robinson Racing pinions.
I have another question. I've read about changing those pegs from old, pre-xl5 transmission with...

RE: Official Rustler Thread

I just bought an RRP 48-pitch 15-tooth pinion to replace the stock 23-tooth on my rusty. The pinion is narrower than the stock that it occupies only 2/3 of the spur width. Is there no problem with...

RE: nimh temp when fullycharged

Thanks for that reply. I have tried charging at .7 to .8C but it still got hot. The total amount of charge delivered is 3900+ (from full discharge). If I stick to the 125-130F cut-off temp, the...

nimh temp when fullycharged

My Gp3900 battery gets 140-150F when fully charged. Is this too hot for the battery? I heard that it should be less than 130F. I'm using an old triton, charging at 1C , sensitivity set at 3mv/cell,...

RE: Official Mamba Max Thread!!!!!!

Thanks for the advice. Although the 5-second test is very subjective, I won't run again my rusty with the 23/86 set-up. You're right, I should buy a temp gun.

RE: Official Mamba Max Thread!!!!!!

How do I know if my motor is demagnetized? Will it still run? I was once running my rustler xl-5 with the stock gearing (23/86). I could not touch the motor longer than 5 seconds.
Thanks.

RE: Official Rustler Thread

I replaced the stock titan motor of my rustler with a Reedy Radon 17T motor from my TC4. I noticed that the motor's shaft is shorter than the titan that the pinion screw was already at the tip of the...

RE: Official Rustler Thread

Thank you very much Takedown. I am planning of installing the Radon from my TC4 into the Rustler. I'll just probably stick with the 23/86 gearing. I have not upgraded a single part on the rustler...

RE: Official Rustler Thread

Hi! I'm new to this forum. I just received today my new Rustler xl-5. Does anyone know the RPM of the Titan motor? Is it faster than Reedy Radon 17T which is rated at 30K?
Thank you very much.
