New E Revo. Which Brushless??
I just bought a new E Revo and i really am interested in a brushless system within the next month.
Ive looked around but it seems like there's so many different set ups that im not sure what would be good for me.
I want it to be fast. But i dont need a friggin 20v setup or anything like that.
Ill be running 6 and 7 volt 3000s.
Any advice on narrowing it down from the electric monster drivers?
Stories are cool too! :]

You meant 6 and 7 CELL 3000's, correct?
If you plan to stick with those batts, the Novak HV 6.5 or 7.5 are the best choice. Maybe the only choice. Sensorless brushless (Mamba Monster, Mamba Max) have problems with lower capacity/quality cells. If you were to go with a Mamba Monster and Neu motor (probably the best setup), you would also need new batteries. It would get quite expensive.

yeah.
my money tree actually jus died.
and i replaced it with a little baby tree.
so....
baby money tree friendly is what were aiming for.
for now atleast.
and back to the regular Mamba?
is that enough power?
is designed for single batt packs..
is it a definite no?

The novaks are your best bet if you plan on keeping the batteries you have. All the others will have issues with the lower quality cells

The 6.5 was my favorite(had 6.5 and 4.5). Great balance between power and runtime. The 4.5 might be too hard on the batts and has heat issues if you are not carefull

6.5 its the best all around! I love it!

unless you have good batteries, if you have quality batteries the 6.5 will be slow compared to the MM or MMM with the castle/neu/even feigao XL can

Well, you can't say it will be slow. It all depends on what he's doing and how it's geared. He could over-gear the heck out of it and have some awesome speed. The runtime will be shorter, of course. Now if you're talking about torque, the MM/MMM/Neu combo will be noticeably superior.

It's impossible to use just one 6-7 cells. You need at least 12 cells ni-mh or 3s lipo. I think your best option would be a MM/Feigao 8xl on 12 cells with external BEC.
