RE: Help!

the one-way bearing is the nut that slides onto the crankshaft that sticks out of the backplate. the reason it's turning over once, and then you hear a slipping noise is because that bearing is...

RE: Help!

sounds like your one-way bearing is shot. pull the starter plate off and replace the bearing. for a temporary fix, you could try soaking it in denatured alcohol until you get a new one.

RE: Re-entering RC Hobby, Suggestions?

The Mega Baja is another good choice. It's pretty much the same as the Aftershock, but with some upgrades here and there (includes the losi spin start). It runs around $400.

RE: Loctite your LST2 screws!

I recently bought a Mega Baja and have since bent the top chassis, broke the side rails, and bent a couple screws. Anyway, as I was taking parts off to transfer to the new chassis, I noticed my...

RE: Jato 3.3 VS HPI Fire Storm

Just to give you (and your friend) fair warning, aluminum's not really the way to go unless you're more concerned with your car looking pretty. In crashes, it bends easily and also transfers shock...

RE: Anyone own a Warhead?

Did ya try soaking it in denatured alcohol and then re-oiling it? It might bring it back to life =P

RE: Anyone own a Warhead?

It'll either get turned into something cool to display on a shelf along with my Traxxas 2.5r, or sit in a box and collect dust. I haven't decided yet, but replacing the engine is sort of up in the...

RE: Anyone own a Warhead?

The Warhead isn't my first nitro, so I had previous experience tuning engines with my Jato. I tuned it for high speed, and then low speed after break-in. I'm using O'Donnel Race 20% and using a...

RE: Anyone own a Warhead?

Off... the thing is running incredibly rich, too. If I leave it idling for a bit, it'll leave a nice trail of unburned fuel on the ground below, and puts off a large amount of smoke on take-off and...

RE: Anyone own a Warhead?

Gahhh I CANNOT get this supertiger running right at all! Factory settings yields 290+ temps, there are no leaks in the fuel line or the engine that I can see (no fuel residue around the front...

RE: IS IT FINISHED?? HELP PLEASE!!! Newbie here..

Something you should definitely try is completely disassembling the carb and flushing every part out with some nitro and blowing it out real good with compressed air. It's possible that your needles...

RE: IS IT FINISHED?? HELP PLEASE!!! Newbie here..

You might have a tiny hole in your fuel line or pressure line (the hose going from the pipe to tank). Either one of these could cause the engine to run lean. Also, a lot of tanks suffer from...

RE: IS IT FINISHED?? HELP PLEASE!!! Newbie here..

Are you sure it's bogging? Or is it losing power and stuttering? I don't have a Firestorm, but in my slightly limited experience, all nitro engines tend to act the same as far as tuning goes. If...

RE: Anyone own a Warhead?

I'm pretty sure it goes on the bottom of the wheel hub link. I originally put mine on the top to reduce the extreme angle that you get, but when you compress the shocks, the wheels toe out from each...

RE: Anyone own a Warhead?

I have that same problem with the race steering kit, and I installed it to specs. Basically, the problem is that the plastic end of the steering turnbuckle is being mashed against the steering...

Meh. For some reason I was thinking that was one of the upgrades on the RT-X. You want another Warhead davido? :D

I'm going to try and sell it off pretty soon. Just don't have the time for...

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in buying my Warhead Evo. It's not that it's a bad truck, I just don't really have the time for it and it's not supported by any local...

RE: Anyone own a Warhead?

The only thing that comes off is the reverse assembly. Everything else stays. However, I had to drop a washer from the foc assembly because it caused the fit to be too tight and would bind the...
