It really is beautiful for its age. It's covered in cloth/fabric and painted. Still has one of the vintage servos in the wing.... It has pushrods with tubes instead...

My C.G. is wayyyy back.. I am at about 5.75" now.
MY battery has been switched to a lipo and installed in a hatch I made in the tail.

I will have to upload some pictures if I haven't already.

That's me!! I LOVE the Saito 91.. sound, power, just everything.
I too was reluctant at first..
Mine swings an APC 15x4 wide "3d" prop and it still has good forward speed at less than full...

I have a Saito 91S in mine and LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I run a APC 15x4 wide 3D prop and it's a blast..

The weight is not a problem at all.. I'm still tempted...

Any idea how to tell the difference between the landing gear??? Mine are already installed... I was slightly mad that mine came in a plain box... I have a collection of boxes on a shelf from all...

hmmm.... so you have one of the brand new one's, and your box actually had pictures and such on it???

Mine was ordered beginning of December, and came in a PLAIN white box, and the fuselage...

As far as the wing failure issue.... You guys that have had the outer panel separate, was it the older kits that still said Cessna on the plane? ... or the newer kits that came in the plain jane box,...

That is correct.... They are 3/16" super hinge points. I also used the Robart super ball link control horns.

Any pictures of your modification technique?

I'm still deciding if I want to do surgery on the wing or not.... and the best way to go about it.

I took the robart apart, polished the burrs AND the upper tube.... now it functions buttery smooth even with a side load applied. I'm happy with it now. :D

I'm still waiting on some warm weather WITHOUT 20-30 mph winds.... weather has really sucked for the last month.

I got bored and decided to make a cold air/ram intake for the Reactor.. :D

Since when do those things make it totally unflyable??? I hardly ever use the included linkages/hardware with ANY kit ... you should have mentioned the occasional problems with the wing panels if...

I got the Robart 654 a few days ago.... must say, I'm a bit disappointed in the quality of it for $65 [&o]

It's advertised as an "oleo" strut, but is only a spring... nothing hydraulic about...
