That's news. Metal gears do wear out though. ~$26 for gears for half a season doesn't seem out of line though. That servo also works great as a collective servo on my helicopter (lots of abuse). ...

Use a servo such as a Futaba S9350 or any other servo used for steering on a 1/8th scale buggy. The throttle/brake servo on a 1/5 or 1/6 scale cannot get more abuse than the steering servo on a 1/8...
