RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=-

RE Diff oil, I mainly do beach and gravel bashing these days so I have 40K oil in my diff, almost locking it. Well, about 60-75%. Totally smoked a lightning around an oval beach track yesterday.

RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=-

Hey RCN2ZST. How about a copy of the CNC program for that upper deck? I'll swap it for a carbon sheet version. As strong as your thick Alu one but 1/4 the weight?

PM me

RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=-

Can you be more specific about why it doesn't fit your car?

I have an Mtronics micro failsafe tucked in my reciever box that fits so well it almost seems designed for the space. Is it connection...

RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=-

Beautiful Firestorm Justin!!

ALL of the above is great advice!

The only "weak" point I have noticed on my Firestorm is the front bulkhead. I have completely destroyed 2 and snapped...

RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=-

Make sure that bumper supports the front bulkhead. The front bulkhead seems to be the weak point on the firestorm.

RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=-

The Graphite upper deck is definitely stronger than the ali one.

Had an "incident" recently that destroyed a front bulkhead but the upper deck held (ripping the screws from the back and...

RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=-

Run it in and get the "Firestorm Grin" on your face. I get it every time I take mine out! :D

Why did you replace the rims, engine etc? Because of wear and tear? If so, you know how much fun it...

Hi Dialin!

Any chance of more details on that aluminium bulkhead brace?

I've broken 2 so far and have access to all the aluminium I want so any information would be greatly appreciated!

RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=-

My LHS ordered the graphite deck direct from HPI Europe I believe. (In the UK)

Not only is the graphite deck easier to work with it looks quite pretty as well :D

RE: what stadium truck

The firestorm is an amazing piece of kit for the price. I go out bashing with an HPI Baja 1/5th scale and although it runs over me from time to time it has a hard time keeping up! (It is slightly...

RE: hpi firestorm

After a radio failure my firestorm hit a curb head on at full speed. Bent the upper deck to amazing shapes (pics included) and shattered the front bulkhead. £20.98 to repair! Everything else...

RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=-

(I also recieved the graphite upper deck set today, if I'm stripping her down it would be rude not to fit the new deck)

Has anyone else fitted the graphite deck and if so did you actually notice...
