RE: whats true about the detta aluminum??

The alloy parts add nothing but weight. The plastic stuff is light and flexes so your car will be more reliable and lighter. Stick with the plastic stuff or get the upgraded graphite stuff if you...

RE: Vendetta ST and Mongoose review

Both motors (13.5 and 10.5) are brilliant for that size and more but if you also bash then I'd recommend the 10.5 as it has more kick and top end for those speed runs or crazy long jumps. A lot also...

RE: Mongoose gearing for Vendeta ST

Yes you are over geared, you want to run closer to a 11t pinion with the stock spur

RE: Robitronic Scalpel 1/18

The Mongoose is just too much for this thing and makes it undriveable. It has so much push that the front wheels do nothing. I can't get the car to run at all. I've got the throttle down to 40% and...

RE: Vendetta ST and Mongoose review

The 10.5 and 13.5 feels to have similar torque at the gearing I run but vastly different top speeds.

Out of the lipo's in the picture above I would recommend the Flightpower Evolite 1600mah 7.4v...

RE: Vendetta ST and Mongoose review

Gearing Mongoose systems is something you have to spend time getting right for the type of driving you will be doing. I run the 10.5 system at 12/49 and the 13.5 system at 13/45 for indoor carpet...

Vendetta ST and Mongoose review

I've been doing quite a bit testing with the production Mongoose systems in my ST's comparing them with a Neu/Tekin combo.

Neu/Tekin (The Brute) is a very strong and torqy motor combo and quite...

RE: deans adapter: do or not do

I also went through a love hate relationship with Deans.

Buster has it spot on. Deans connectors must be soldered while connected to the opposite side (male/female). The metal inside the plastic...

RE: Robitronic Scalpel 1/18

The Mongoose is THE BEST micro brushless system out there. I have 3 of them and have raced them in my Vendetta ST\LRP Shark a few times now. It's a great system and I wouldn't really consider running...

RE: Robitronic Scalpel 1/18

My little Scalpel project is coming along nicely. Fashioned a nice underbody foam bumper. Got the 6 cell chassis in and made room for the Mongoose. Just need to mount the electrics now and paint the...

RE: Robitronic Scalpel 1/18

Got my 6 cell chassis and Parma body today and it took me about 1.5hrs to build up the rolling chassis. I've held the Mongoose up against the motor area and as you said I would have to take away...

RE: mongoose brushless

Awesome news. Personally I believe the motor shaft could be a bit longer without too much hassle, especially considering the oversize front bearing. You only need to add a few mm. Most 3.2mm shaft...

RE: mongoose brushless

Go with Deans. It's a 40amp system and the stock mini connectors are not up to the job. They get extremely warm and just don't let enough juice through. Deans also has the added benefit that you...
