RE: Futaba 3PM Faast glitch

I have (3) 1/8th scale cars all with R603FF receivers. I have them mounted with velcro in the battery box. I've had no problems under normal use. I did have a problem like that when I was...

RE: SH .28 P3

Does anyone know how long these piston/sleeves last? I have a SH 28 P3 that I took care of properly and didn't abuse, but only got about 2.5 gallons through it. The compression is gone. I thought...

RE: gluing dyed wheels to tires

+1 - I usually hit the rims and the tires lightly with a sanding drum on a dremel. This ruffs up the edges for a good glue joint. I haven't had a glue joint break yet.

RE: Body Paint

Make sure you use light coats and that it dries between coats. If it's not dry between coats, the paint will skin over and take a very long time to dry. Take your time and don't rush it.

RE: Quality truggy

Have you checked out the Caster Racing K8T? It's very durable and comes with big bore shocks and PBS for 425. It's a quality kit. Throw in some good electronics and you're ready to go. I haven't...

RE: -OFFICIAL CASTER RACING K8T TRUGGY THREAD-

Yea - the Caster 3 piece quick change engine mount works great! It's a must if you pop your engine out a lot. Goes back in and the gear mesh is still perfect.

RE: -OFFICIAL CASTER RACING K8T TRUGGY THREAD-

Does anyone know if the MBX5T front/rear or center CVD's will fit in the K8T? It's not that I don't like Caster parts...I have the K8T RTR with the dogbones and I can pick up some MBX5T CVD's for...

RE: Break in method for long life? My idea (heat cycle) Please read.

I think it's best to use a heat gun, a hair dryer doesn't get as hot as a heat gun will or as fast. Use a temp gauge and check it as you heat it. You're not going to be able to heat it and carry it...

RE: -OFFICIAL CASTER RACING K8T TRUGGY THREAD-

Hey Vnmsgt - I'm going to try this on the K8T to help with the squatting. How are you setting the spacers in the front - up or down? I'll post results once I try it. I probably won't get to test...

RE: aluminum screws

I wouldn't trust aluminum screws. The metal is soft and the heads will strip easily. You can try aluminum nuts...report back how they work.

RE: Return Spring?

Make sure that the throttle and brake rods are not binding at all. The rods should be level and move freely. There is usually a spring on the throttle rod that presses against an adjuster. You can...

RE: shock rebound question..

Remove the front shocks and make sure that the arms are not binding and move freely. If that's OK, then remove the shock fluid and make sure that the shafts are not binding in the shock housing. I...

RE: Go tech .21 3 port feedback

+1 with what vnmsgt said...I have a Go 3 port race which is good for a buggy. I would go for the 5 or 7 port Go for a truggy. The race motors are harder to break in because of the tight pinch, but...

RE: ***OFFICIAL CASTER RACING ZX1-R***

Hey vnmsgt

Did you put the Go 3 port in your ZX1-R? I have about a half gallon thru mine. I turned the front tires into slicks and I grenaded the front clutch bearing. How long do your clutch...

RE: -OFFICIAL CASTER RACING K8T TRUGGY THREAD-

I would say it's very durable and can take a beating. I had the steering servo arm come loose on a long straight going full bore. The next thing I knew BAM!! into and over the wall. Nothing broke....

RE: Fuel Price And What Type

ODonnell 20% about 29 a gallon up here. I paid about 25/gal a couple of weeks ago. Two hobby shops are telling me they can't get the higher nitro content fuel (20 - 30%) until after the olympics. ...

RE: ***OFFICIAL CASTER RACING ZX1-R***

I currently have a ZX1-R on order, but I have a K8T. I bought captured hinge pins for it and I figured I'd replace them if the e-clips popped off. The e-clips haven't popped off and this is after...

RE: ***OFFICIAL CASTER RACING ZX1-R***

Hey Vnmsgt - how does that 3 port run as compared to the 5 and 7 port? How was it breaking in, any easier, harder? I haven't had time to get mine going yet. I'm still waiting for some parts - due...

Hurricane Differential Shim P/N

Does anyone know the P/N for the shims to shim the differential inside of the gearbox. Kyosho makes a 12mm x 15mm shims for the MP7.5 that look the same but I/m not sure. I would measure them, but...
