RE: rc land speed record JET Engine

RE: Official HPI Hellfire Thread

I think the problems with the diffs are mainly caused by 2 things. First bad or no shimming (by no shimming I mean no check on or re shimming by user) and second I regurlarly read bad things about...

RE: the hyper st PRO thread!

How can you dye them? I'd rather have black or gray wheels. I think you get much more freedom with the paint scheme if the rims are not white.

I'm afraid they flake very easily when painted.

RE: the hyper st PRO thread!

I'm a noob at actualy driving nitro cars in anger but I guess you could put a heavier oil in the center diff so if the front has less traction the front wheels will not spin that uncontrolled. I...

RE: Just got my Hyper ST Pro today!!!!

Hi,

I have a similar question. I have the HPI SF-2 (unused) left from my Hellfire. Will that do as a brake/throttle servo?

RE: Robitronics Mantis vs Hobao Hyper ST

Hi,

I swapped the Hellfire (and some spare parts) with the Hobao, no cash involved. It is in back order at the moment here at my local hobby store.

I now have to look for an engine,...

RE: Robitronics Mantis vs Hobao Hyper ST

Hi,

I have just ordered a Hyper pro. Only thing left is we have to speak about an engine swap or not but the car is a go.

Thanks for your response.

RE: Robitronics Mantis vs Hobao Hyper ST

I might try to trade it in as a rolling chassis like you said because I love the engine off the Hellfire. I think I will go for the Hyper pro and was already thinking of putting the Hellfire's engine...

Robitronics Mantis vs Hobao Hyper ST

Hi,

I have a Hellfire (best looking truck) and I have been reading lots of bad things about it. Stripping diffs, broken suspension parts. It looks like the car is getting extinged. Lots of...

RE: Official HPI Hellfire Thread

Hi,

I have a Hellfire too and still think it is the best looking truggy. I read about stripped diffs quite often. Is this a weak spot in the Hellfire or like in the comment above a result of...

RE: WOOOHOOO! Just got my TT ST1

If your mixture is rich it won't get high revs, instead you will cool the engine and lubricate it when you apply full throttle.

And if the instruction says so it can't be bad I guess.

RE: Trophy Truggy Leftovers

So far I have spent about one week drawing and milling, after work. I mostly work at home so I don't have to commute and no time is lost.

Most time of the total project is/will be lost waiting...

Trophy Truggy Leftovers

Hi,

After building a Formula Off Road car I decided I wanted to build a truggy. I call the model a Trophy Truggy because it has an independant front suspension and a Jeep like rear axle (what's...

RE: 4WD HPI Baja Trophy Truck

Hi,

Wow, nice build. Though I would like to see a trophy truck without front wheel drive, like the (most?) real ones. Correct me if I'm wrong, I don't know that much about them.

Did you...

Hi,

I'm planning to build a 1/8th scale nitro powered throphy truck. "solid" rear axle, independant front suspension, rear wheel drive.

I think it must have brakes on the front wheels to...
