RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

MMm...I'd find a new Hobby Shop. There is a brand new one one East Burnside that just opened. I've also heard good things about Coyote Hobby out in Oregon City. I'm not real fond of the Hobby Town...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

You could drill some small holes in the front to help with cooling off the ESC. You've got plenty of meat there.

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Very interesting. The Park 480 1020kv is smaller yet more powerful?? I am assuming the stock is on the right? How are you going to compensate for your COG?

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Hey Bigtone.....you feel like putting together a small tutorial for the flaps? Maybe just a posting here with directions and pictures? The T-28 fans would appreciate it! (I know I would!)
Cheers

RE: Site Down?

There are a ton, I repeat a TON, of places out there to host your site on. If you are not getting instantaneous support when experiencing site outages as a merchant then I'd bale and find a new...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

buy the whole bare fuselage for $30ish bucks. Then you'll have a fresh start. Save the old one until you can get your hands on a new mount.

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

I fly without gear 90% of the time. I am actually starting to prefer it! The field that I fly at the grass is 8-12" tall. I pulled the gear, removed the clevis from the servo for the front wheel...

RE: How do I charge eneloop battery packs?

I was setting the charger to 45mV as MRC recommends about 5mV per cell for NiMH in the manual. I would usually have to start the charge twice for it to complete successfully with the proper...

RE: How do I charge eneloop battery packs?

Awesome, thanks. 10-15mV per cell? That seems high to me for NiMH. Thats more like NiCD territory, are the Eneloops that different?

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Wow! That's the highest number I have seen yet. We've seen anywhere from 14A to 18A. Were your readings taken between the bettery and ESC? Stock Rx? What power meter are you using? Thanks for...

RE: How do I charge eneloop battery packs?

You must have missed the part where I said the lowest my charger goes is 500mA. The charger that came with my Spektrum is for NiCD. C/4 is not exactly "fast". I pose the question again, does...

RE: How do I charge eneloop battery packs?

I've heard the newer environmentally safe NiMH packs false peak easily. There is even a warning on Spektrum's website about this. My NiMH charger's lowest setting is 500mA. I find that it will...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

My guess is the BEC is not supplying enough voltage/current. One of the servos is dragging it down or there is an issue with the ESC/BEC. The first thing I would do is hook up a digital volt meter...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Do not use a charger to provide 12V to a charger. I repeat: Do not use an automotive charger to supply power to another battery charger. Very bad idea. The charger is telling you that its not...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

I was a little board tonight and with all this talk of loose prop adapters I went ahead and did a little inspection on mine. You can not really tell if its loose with the prop on so I pulled the...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Mine did that. I swapped out the prop and it went away. I think I had an out of balance prop. I'd try that before doing anything else.

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Not sure...if its dragging the voltage down than anything is possible. I'd try it and see.
