RE: Mini Super Sportster EP

Does the E-Starter have ailerons? If so, then I'm set.

RE: Mini Super Sportster EP

That's good. This would be my first low wing plane so I hope it will be ok. I heard they are fast but I'm sure they are no faster than my glow trainer, which I had clocked at 70 MPH at times. I just...

Mini Super Sportster EP

Looking at getting this for my next parkflyer. How hard are they to fly? I have been flying R/C's for about 5 years (only my glow trainer though). What I like about the super sportster is that it has...

RE: onboard telemetry? (altitude, airspeed, direction, etc)

The only one I can find there is the Eagle Tree Systems telemetry. How good are they? $199.99 isn't bad.

onboard telemetry? (altitude, airspeed, direction, etc)

Where can I find these devices I guess that are referred to as onboard telemetry? You put a transmitter in your plane and you have a receiver on the ground that is a screen or something that gives...

Spoilers on Sig LT-40?

Hello everybody. On my other thread "flaps on sig LT40" somebody mentioned the use of spoilers instead of flaps to reduce speed but as well as lift on landing. Would using spoilers instead of flaps...

RE: Flaps on Sig Kadet LT-40

Hey, if anybody is still reading this thread, I'm just about to start the project but I re-read this thread and like the spoiler idea in the wings that ballgunner mentioned earlier but how do you...

RE: Flaps on Sig Kadet LT-40

Another mod I was thinking of is having the wings bolted on instead of using the elastics. Can somebody explain how this is done? The wings can still come off though right for when you want to put it...

RE: Flaps on Sig Kadet LT-40

Pic worked this time. Sounds good. How fast should the flaps come down? Is there a way to control the speed of how fast they sweep down or is it fixed? Does it matter how fast they come down? Also, I...

RE: Flaps on Sig Kadet LT-40

Hey MinnFlyer, your picture won't work for me. When I click on it it just says this page cannot be displayed. If you can't get it work here, maybe I'll just get you to email it to me.

Also, as...

Flaps on Sig Kadet LT-40

A new project I want to tackle this winter is possibly putting flaps on my lt-40. First of all, can this be done to this plane with the current stock configuration with the ailerons without having...

RE: Sig LT40 window and cockpit modification

I should have also note, the GPS was put in after the whole assembly was glued in and everything (I decided later on that I wanted one in there for a more cool look.) Now that was an awkward angle to...

RE: Sig LT40 window and cockpit modification

The only real structural parts that were somewhat cut out is the area behind the seats I had to remove some of the wood from that area to fit in the front windows but I filled the opening with epoxy...

RE: Sig LT40 window and cockpit modification

The storage compartment and pilot window door and front window. That box thing you see in the gas compartment is actually the GPS. When I wanted scale, I even went with how it would look behind the...

Sig LT40 window and cockpit modification

Hello everybody. Thought I might share my latest project with my Sig LT40. A lot of people see this plane as something to just learn on but even after, its still fun to fly and why not make it look a...

RE: Tail wheel on LT-40

Aileron control horn? You mean like the kind that's attached to the rudder or elevator? That would work except the control horn has to be long enough so that the wheel doesn't rub up against the...

Tail wheel on LT-40

I'm looking to put a tail wheel on my sig LT-40. Because I have the front nose wheel risen up higher than normal, the tail often is dragging on the ground. The other day when I was landing, the tail...

RE: Flying while driving

Wow. 30 mile legs. How long can you go on one tank? I can go max about 1/2 hour. I certainly couldn't go that far unless my plane was going downwind.

Well, I hope to pick a day with no winds...

I'm looking into taking the next step up in my flying skills and try flying my plane (sig LT-40) while following it in a car. I'm looking to take off from a spot and land at a spot that is about 4...

RE: Exhaust deflector

Been a few months but now that flying season is here, I have been trying at this again. Seems I did the JB weld thing wrong and covered the whole exhaust pipe with it. Wish I read a little more...
