RE: UL1 MOTOR & ESC IN SV27?

I was running the ammo 2300 with a hydra 120. Temps were fine, especially since these were short runs. however I did cheat a little bit and run a 4s2p setup. Even then you have to pay attention to...

RE: UL1 MOTOR & ESC IN SV27?

The SV hull will take more than the UL1 motor will give it. I have run my SV to over 52 mph with an ammo 2300 and a worked 645 propeller. The best thing you can do is get the boat ballanced and...

RE: Finally broke 50 with the Blackjack

I am sure if I wanted to spend the money on a Neu motor and a hydra 240 the boat would hit 60 pretty easily, assuming the bow would stay down.

I have a 7xl that I was thinking of putting in the...

RE: Finally broke 50 with the Blackjack

Sorry guys I have been very busy lately. The boat with upgraded hardwar turns ok without the fins. When I put them back on, I cut off 1" and it seems to do fine that way. I never ran the boat...

RE: unnofficial blackjack 26 brushless thread!

I just used a flat head screw driver and carefully worked my way around the o-ring pushing it between the jacket and the motor.

RE: 4 of 3800mAh or 2 of 4500mAh for same money?

If you are going to run nimh batteries, I would stay away from the Tenergy's. Spend a little extra money for the Trinity cells or the IB cells.

Don't buy the 8.4 set ups either. My buddy run...

RE: unnofficial blackjack 26 brushless thread!

To be honest, I don't really know. I usually turn it over. I am always pushing it to the limit it seems. If I had to quess, i would say in the 6-10 min range, but I have never payed much...

RE: unnofficial blackjack 26 brushless thread!

mm I would guess 10-15 mins run time depending on how much prop you are running. If you get the set up right, you should see speeds in the upper 40s I would think pretty easily. Which prop do you...

RE: unnofficial blackjack 26 brushless thread!

What is the pitch on the larger props? What kind of temps were you seeing with the cf40? With so much set back, you will need to raise the strut I would think. Look at it this way, on a full size...

RE: unnofficial blackjack 26 brushless thread!

You may want to cool the ESC first. From what I understand that will be more important since it handles the current loads.

RE: unnofficial blackjack 26 brushless thread!

I doubt there is anything wrong with your GPS. What kind is it? Try a X642 prop that has been detounged. I saw 45.0 with my stock motor and that prop. But I had the upgraded hardware.

RE: unnofficial blackjack 26 brushless thread!

pretty much evertime I go out, I have to retrieve it. I keep playing with it to see what I can get out of it. If I move the batteries up just a bit, the boat rides much flatter.

RE: unnofficial blackjack 26 brushless thread!

My current setup is the ammo 36-50-2300, hydra 120, and converted to strut and offset rudder. Batteries are trinity 4200 6 cells. I run a x642 prop and have a best topspeed so far of 51.9.
