I was flying a "New Timer" at Warwick a few weeks ago and have tried to thermal my EZ glider there plenty of times to no avail. I saw some pelicans circling VERY high and thought "is it a thermal?"

My Gemini does the same thing if I give it the berries when flying slowly. I think it's the down thrust in the motor dragging the plane down before the airspeed over the wing is great...
