I believe it has a hollow 10mm shaft.

The kit supplied a 6mm nut for the motor also supplied in the kit the problem is the crankshaft is 7mm. The nut would tighten and all seemed well and good the helicopter even started and ran well but...

Update: I found the problem

I found the problem. It was the fan after all!!!! Sure enough it was loose and had allowed the clutch to come half way out so everything was binding. Now If I can tighten it properly and put it back...
