RE: LOSI VS ASSOCIATED

Hey Wipe Out, what's with the drastic opinion change? Your first post in this thread was pro-AE anti-Losi, now you've flipped flopped. What happened?

RE: LOSI VS ASSOCIATED

And I wasn't going to. Later in this very same thread I mentioned that both AE and Losi make quality products. I'm not going to pretend Losi makes an inferior product, because that simply wouldn't...

RE: LOSI VS ASSOCIATED

I don't know about this man. The fact that you and your friends had a T4 instead of a XXXT-CR had no effect on the outcome of the race. Both are quality products and switching from a XXXT-CR to a...

RE: LOSI VS ASSOCIATED

I used to be absolutely dedicated to Losi. Back when I was really into the hobby (around 10 years ago), Losi outnumbered Associated by around 10 to 1 at my local racetrack. My first rc car ever was...

Yokomo MR-4BXF

This isn't a widely discussed buggy around here, does anyone have any opinions on it? It looks really nice.

RE: Team Associated B44

Nice driving Jesse. I would have been lapped at least twice with my car flipped over - broken and on fire if I started off next to you.

Is it an easy kit to build for a beginner?

RE: Is the T4 respected as much as the B4?

That's what I thought too. For racing, I dont' know if the Rustler, Stampede can compete with the XXXT-CR and T4.

Is the T4 respected as much as the B4?

I've read multiple times on these forums that the B4 is considered to be the best 2wd buggy out there. I have seen a few of these in action and I will probably agree, even though the xxx-cr's are...

RE: Which one of these trucks?

Have you considered the Associated T4? If you ever do get into racing, I hear it is one of the best out there and it can function as a basher as well.

B4 - Factory kit or non-Factory kit?

The factory team kit has some great hop-ups, but I hear that the chassis is actually worse for beginners because of the graphite. Would you recommend the regular B4 (plastic) kit for a beginner such...

RE: Keen Hawk or Dark Impact?

Is there anything else that needs to be upgraded right away to get good quality out of the kit?

Also, is there a model number or link to the good set of shocks on their website?

RE: Keen Hawk or Dark Impact?

Oople.com seemed to like the Keen Hawk, however they said the shocks were not great right out of the box. They said the kit would need upgraded shocks before it can take jumps without bottoming out...

RE: Keen Hawk or Dark Impact?

I'm kind of leaning towards 4WD because it'll be easier to drive. I am a beginner afterall. However, I already own a 2wd Losi buggy and I can make due with 2wd.

RE: Keen Hawk or Dark Impact?

Thanks for those pics.

How do the DI/KH compare with the Durga? Is it worth the extra money? I'm not even considering that 501 kit that costs over $500.

You're right, I did forget that one.

How do these cars do with a brushless setup?

Keen Hawk or Dark Impact?

I realize that they have the same basic chassis, but which one would you pick and why?

RE: Which Tamiya buggy kit?

What is that TRF501X? $834 for just the kit? That's insane.

RE: Which Tamiya buggy kit?

They have a lot of good looking cars. Quick question, do their cars have different names depending on color? For example, the Dark Impact has a DF-03 next to it, so does the Keen Hawk. They look...

Which Tamiya buggy kit?

I've been seriously looking at the Tamiya buggy kits lately and I noticed that a lot of their kits have been discontinued. I can find these relatively cheap on Ebay, but parts availability would be...
