RE: Kyosho Inferno Us Sports

I'm running 20% Sidewinder fuel, so should i run a hotter plug (Like an A3 or #8 OS as opposed to the A5)?

RE: weather and altitude, what affect on tuning

The O2 doesn't necessarily get lower, the atmospheric pressure drops as altitude goes up. Because of this drop in pressure, and the fact that air is compressible, it means that the density, or mass...

RE: I think i blew the motor

Ok, i think i know what happened, but i took the motor apart anyway. Judging by the stripped section of the flywheel i think a rock got lodged between the frame at the flywheel and while i was trying...

RE: I think i blew the motor

Totally stock engine dude. The glow plug is the one that came with the engine. 20% nitro O'Donnels fuel.

RE: I think i blew the motor

Actually i have a digital laser IR temperature gun. Motor stayed under 200 degrees the whole time, measured roughly at the glow plug. BTW, how would dirt get into the motor if the air filter was on?

I think i blew the motor

So i went round 2 with tuning the truck today. I had removed the carb, cleaned it out (wasn't dirty just did it to make sure), and reinstalled it using silicone sealant. Then i put the needles back...

RE: Tuning help

Well temps today were 70 degrees F outside. I also live in a high altitude area at about 4000ft. I figured because of the altitude that both the LSN and HSN would be overly rich but i guess not. I...

RE: Tuning help

I haven't, but i assume the one that came with it works. When the carb is primed it only take one or two pulls to start it with the glow igniter hooked up.

Tuning help

I need some help with the tuning. Now i have searched and watched some videos on youtube (very helpful by the way). The problem i'm having is that since breaking it in, i started leaning out the HSN...

RE: My newly built savage

Quick question
Has anyone run that rear exit exhaust i see on ebay? One of my friends says that he's heard they rob a lot of power from the motor. But it would be nice if it didn't because then...

Glow plugs

I was doing some searching and noticed that many are using glow igniters with meters on them. Well i went cheap on my glow igniter and got one without a meter thinking that it was for measuring...

RE: Receiver battery switch

Well we have a "local" hobby shop in el paso, so that's like an hour drive each way. Sucks because i think my old futaba remote came with an extra servo and some parts (possibly the switch) but i...

Receiver battery switch

I just realized after ordering my savage x ss and all the stuff i need that i did not get a switch for the receiver battery. I'm wondering if i can just go to radio shack and solder up my own switch...
