It's all cool Steve, glad your Factory Flyer got the issue sorted out. Those non genuine CM6's have presented a problem for a number of folks.

RE: No Such Thing As Factory Settings

Steve, just to clarify one point, DA have no sponsored pilots in WA. Clearly we have lot of folks use DA engines in WA. Chris Brislin is the only DA sponsored pilot in Australia, and I doubt it was...

Appreciatte your feed back. Noise down here is major issue and std mufflers just aren't going to keep the whingers happy. Obviously neither is a screaming 30x12 prop. But hey it does sound cool!!

RE: Composite-Arf 33% Gee Bee R2 - First Flight - Pics - Videos - L@@K

I know the pipes will present a C of G issue. I have been down this road before with IMAC models, and the Gee Bee will be a whole different senario!! In the end canisters may well be the only option....

RE: Composite-Arf 33% Gee Bee R2 - First Flight - Pics - Videos - L@@K

Hi Jim,

I'm planning on a DA150 and a set of KS1090 pipes! I'm sure the pipes aren't needed, but we do have noise issues to contend with here, and I would have to fit a set of canisters anyway. I...

RE: Comp-arf 3M Aileron servo mount help

Hi Alan,

I used a alloy tube (available from hardware store) with an inner diameter close to the same size as a DuBro hex driver. I then attached the hex driver to the tube, with a bolt throught...

RE: CA SuperExtra elevator servos

The elevator servo's are not ganged together on the Superxtra. The aileron servo's are. Perhaps you were thinking of the 3.3 Yak.

RE: CA SuperExtra elevator servos

Hi Scott,

I was like yourself, unsure. I ended up using 4 8611's on the elevators. I didn't want to have the rear end fail due to flutter. I know guy's are getting away with 2, but maybe that's...

RE: Composite ARF/FC 3.0m rudder servo tray

Also go for the 8611's, it's definetly worth the extra bucks!!! We used 4 x 8411's on a 3mtr and they were OK, but since then we have fitted 4 x 8611's to a SuperXtra and they are definetly better. ...

RE: Composite ARF/FC 3.0m rudder servo tray

Hi Kevin,

The comp-arf unit is good and came pre fitted to my SuperXtra. The only draw back with the comp-arf unit is that it has no tiller arm and all the cable tension is transfered to the...

RE: 2.6 CA 330L - wing/fuse decay!

Kregg,

If you pack out the wing rotation/retainer bolt from the root rib to flush with the outer edge of the wing, with balsa or the likes your problem will be fixed. My first 2.6 had deep marks...

RE: IMPORTANT COMP-ARF ANNOUNCEMENT

RE: composite arf 2.3 extra with DA50.....WOW!!

I Would hardly call a DA50 with a pipe tuned to the max! But one good reason to use them in Australia is that you can be confident of product support. Desert Aircraft Australia offer the best service...
