well i found out that it wont move on grass. today after work im going to the river and taking my bass boat out too. just in case i lose it. lol. but the servos held up to the thrust and everything...

they are high torque servos. and i want to get a 5 call battery for more speed and torque. its gonna get its first run today so we will see what i need to change.

well here is the almost final first airboat. all the linkages are on. the rudders are made and everything is sealed from water. i just have to run the engine at full throtle to see how long my 12 oz...

oh ya i did make a ton of progress. i made the rudders and was able to attch them to the back of the boat. got the throtle cable and steering cables attached to the rudders. made the plate to go over...

just a bit of my 2 pennies... that wall behind the prop really looks like it catches some air. maybe if you round that off some the prop would push some air better and the boat would go even faster....

well a long time update. i have all the boat fiberglassed except for the radio box that recessed. so tomorrow im going to finish that.the radio tray has to be made and all the linkages and rudder...

no. the 11.11 walbro carb fit exactly to the back of the manifold. i just made a spacer bc the carb throtle would hit the backing plate. but the spacer was good cause of the added torque it added....
