RE: NEW H9 P51 Mustang 60 ARF

I vote for a Yak-3P or a P-63 King Cobra!

The new H9 Mustang lacks the detail that the TF ARF has. The Retracts look nice though.

Are they oleo struts?

RE: Top Flite '.60 size' P-51D Mustang ARF: Building & Modifications

What brand/size smoke tank did you use? I have a smoke system I would like to put in mine. Can you post pics of the setup?

RE: Top Flite '.60 size' P-51D Mustang ARF: Building & Modifications

Two questions:

1. How do you keep your slimline muffler from vibrating loose. No matter how hard I tighten mine, it will come loose in three flights. This happens even with red threadlock.

RE: Top Flite '.60 size' P-51D Mustang ARF: Building & Modifications

If I were to do it all over, I may have put a YS-110 or a Saito 100/115. Even when I get my engine all tuned up and change the prop it will still be underpowered. Its does fly scale though, which is...

RE: Top Flite '.60 size' P-51D Mustang ARF: Building & Modifications

Ok, I have an issue with my P-51. It could be a simple issue, as I am a beginner with 4-strokes.

I went with the combo from tower with the OS 91 Surpass. I completed the break-in and have about...

RE: Top Flite '.60 size' P-51D Mustang ARF: Building & Modifications

To be honest with you, I have no other information than the fact that they are due out. They only say they are going to be for the Top Flite 1/7 scale Gold Series ARF. CJ has not released specs or...

RE: Top Flite '.60 size' P-51D Mustang ARF: Building & Modifications

I used the solder and have not yet done the maiden flight. Am I going to have a problem with this? Is there anything I can do to ensure the security of what I have already done?

RE: Top Flite '.60 size' P-51D Mustang ARF: Building & Modifications

Has anyone had any trouble with the soldered elevator clevis? I am a bit concerned about that being a weak point. Is there a recommended type of solder for that connection? I have only performed...

RE: Top Flite '.60 size' P-51D Mustang ARF: Building & Modifications

I have read the whole thread and there is no mention of contact information, that is why I was asking.

Do you have a link for Cal Grafix, or is there a contact number?

Thanks!

RE: Top Flite '.60 size' P-51D Mustang ARF: Building & Modifications

Does anyone have pictures of the Robart mechanical install? I just purchased the 608HD's and 653 L&R struts and have no idea how to set them up. This will be my first retract install to date so any...

RE: Top Flite '.60 size' P-51D Mustang ARF: Building & Modifications

Picked this one up after the Frank Tiano report in RC Flyer. I am pretty excited about it. I went with the OS .91FS II combo at Tower. Here is what I am going to install so far:

Futaba S3305 (as...

RE: Great Planes L-39

I think I have said this a few times.

Solution: Purchase S3156 MG servos. Your servos will never break again and you will be able to land on the belly in normal configuration.

RE: Which 4-Stroke for the Hanger 9 Spit MKII

What do you guys think about the G20 gasser? Better or worse than a four stroke glow?

Folks are starting to throw ideas my way, and I want to explore all the options I have.

Are you using a full range receiver with this setup? Mine is just as fast and I start to lose sight of it because of the speed! I am using an AR6100 and haven't lost it yet, but I am worried it will...

RE: Great Planes L-39

I'm flying up to Wisconsin tomorrow in a Piper Aztec to do some mapping. How bad is it up there?

RE: Great Planes L-39

If the Sapac T-45 is a foamie, its not that impressive. I had one and it was horrible with respect to the L-39. It is not maneuverable, nor is it fast. Maybe a 4S will bring some life to it. I was...

RE: Great Planes L-39

The servo covers come off every once-in-a-while and need to be glued back on afterwards. Have some CA ready to go at the field with you.

A better choice for aileron servos are the Futaba S3156...
