I'd suggest getting a 2nd car from MicroCenter. They were $39.99 last time I was at mine. I'm going up to get some pc gear so I'll check again.

in regards to the spurs stripping, the chassis flexes quite a bit so if you can diy an aluminum top plate/radio tray, it will minimize the flexing and decrease the chance of the spur problem.

do any of you run your b/l ferret off road? or just onroad? I like to let my son run it in the grass and dirt alot. if going b/l for offroad jumping/bashing, would it be too much for the gears?

My son ran the car pretty hard last nite and the GPM shocks held up great. The teflon tape did the trick for sure.

depress the spring and remove it. then carefully and I mean very carefully unthread the collar off the shock. then wrap some teflon tape/plumbers tape around the threads. thread the collar back on...

I don't know what wt. oil GPM uses in the shocks but they seem a little thick. Or maybe I don't know if it's supposed to be like that.

if pskeleton swapped his shocks to the GPM 73mm KMI rears, his ferret would handle so much better. those stock shocks are horrible.

well, looks like my front diff is going. I took it out to run 2wd and the 'clicking' sound went away. I'm not sure how long I'm going to keep this..[:o]. May go with a reputable 1/10 off road.

i did get my GPM 73mm mini inferno shocks from rcxmini on ebay and the spur gear from himoto. it took about a week to get them after paypal funds were cleared.
I like these better than the 80mm...
