Thx for that Nitrodan, I guess its worth coughing the dough and just getting her in the air again. I'm not about to go making things worse just to save a couple of bucks!

T-Rex 250

Man I love this little beast! It certainly is fast and agile but it often glitches with a sudden power loss which lasts for a second or two. Just enough to make your butt clench as the tail will kick...

RE: YS 91ST Bearing Replacement

I am having a real hard time dialing in the clutch shaft alignment on this motor, just as I think I have it to within 0.01mm and dial it again I get a different reading, up to 0.1mm out. Is this an...

RE: 4 out of 6 Lipo's useless. Elaberate on the voltages for me.

Hi guys, I have posted an article on battery maintenance that can be viewed at http://www.hobbyhyper.co.za/cu1/Battery-Maintenance.aspx If any of you have information pertinent to this subject and...

RE: Shuttle Plus .37 meets the Throttle Jockey

Thx for that Tony. I have never been treated to a flight down at the coast so I dont know what I'm missing out on! It is also mid summer here now, so even at around 6PM the average temp hangs around...

RE: Shuttle Plus .37 meets the Throttle Jockey

I have been toying with the idea of installing a Throttle Jockey on my Caliber 3, which, with its standard .36 Kyosho engine, combined with the alt I live at (5600ft) is a rather frustrating...

RE: Sceadu 50 goes in pool !!!!!

I would never make fun of you - I too ditched my CP2 in the pool, it flew under water for about 10 seconds before the battery came loose!!! It also got the hairdryer treatment but I must add that it...

RE: Hirobo clunk line

The normal blue tubing is very stiff compared to the thin, flimsy clear tubing so your clunk might not be free to flop around inside the tank. I thought of this myself and opted to leave the thin...

RE: EVO 50 Shaft start, no one way?

Yes indeed your starter should have a one way bearing installed. I would not use that cordless for too long, you run the risk of damaging the starter coupler.

RE: Initial pitch range question

My Kyosho engine overheated so bad (in the beginning) that it overheated the clutch shoe and so destroyed 2 clutches... I now have the aluminium clutch bell (Caliber 5) fitted and only run synthetic...

RE: Initial pitch range question

To be honest it's going to be difficult to tell by quoting numbers. When I started out I was using a Hitec Optic6 Tx and when I got my Futaba 9CH I just copied the curves over to the new radio and...

RE: Needle Valve settings

This is something of a dark-art with the Caliber. I have the stock Kyosho engine (GX36) and found that it over heats very easily. I had to drill a 25mm hole below the engine (holesaw) to better...

RE: Initial pitch range question

Hi janfloirs,

Indeed the fixed linkage gives more positive collective than negative. If you are a beginner, this is not a problem and you should not worry about it. Choose an appropriate servo...

RE: YS 91 St

Hi, I can see little bubbles in the line between pump and carb on my 91ST as well, it is not an issue. My motor runs a tad rich right across the range and is and should be cool enough for you to...

RE: tail servo getting really hot cant even touch it

Don't know bout that - your endpoint adjustment on the radio should be 100% - first turn the limit on the gyro to full, then give full rudder command in normal mode, then slowly decrease the limit...

RE: tail servo getting really hot cant even touch it

Not sure what a 8717 is but just check that you don't have the gyro set to DS (digital servo) if the 8717 is an analog servo it could be the higher pulse rate thats causing it to fry it's bits and...

RE: Caliber 30/ Caliber 3?????

Hi wilco3

Removing the weights from the flybar decreases the gyroscopic force generated by the paddles (or in this case, the flybar!) and is thus less stable. This principle applies to all types...
