RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

In the case of this heli it is (well, the reciever is 1/4 the function of the 4 in one), it doesn't apply to all. More expensive birds have separate units to handle each task, the cheaper ones have...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Don't feel bad, I'm still trying to break the habit of dropping the throttle when I get into trouble, works well with ground vehicles, not so much in the air. My sim controller is still in a box...

Wow, this thread is still going strong. Springs finally rolling around so after a long winter and a move to a new apartment, the Falcon came out of it's box today. Gave it a once over, charged up the...

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop

My last one i thought was bent cause it had a wobble in the drive gear, after some reading it's more likely that the drive gear is out of round, gonna upgrade that when I have some spare change,...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

LOL, I can see no better way of crippling a King II than by installing the stock Falcon motor on it, wonder if it would even get off the ground?

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Ok, just need some confirmation. My F40 has maybe 15 flights on it, I have 3 batteries, 1 original 2 brand new, none of them will lift the heli more than a foot off the ground, I believe the stock...

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop

Or too loose and it will have the same effect, there seems to be a sweet spot. I set mine just loose enough that they'll balance them selves, hold the heli down and spool up to full throttle, then...

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop

Well I ordered 3 more, they're cheap, will check them before use. Wonder if a machine shop could straighten the old ones.

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop

Does anyone carry a sturdier main shaft than the stock one? I just replaced mine recently and had a rather minor "incident" and my new shaft is bent [:o] Seems to have bent at the bottom this time...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

I wish some better battery technology would come along, I was on my local fire dept for 20 years, retired as a captain, and these things scare the crap out of me! Having to soak them in salt water to...

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop

LOL, they do do that, but better to spend $$ on a fun hobby than drugs or some other useless habit. My new main shaft and other parts should be in this week, so I'll be able to try a second practice...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

X2, Mike goes out of his way to help people here, if I need something for my Falcon 40 or HBK2 and he has it, I buy from him.

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop

I agree 100%, I'm just doing it one part at a time so I know which component is causing the throttle problem, even though getting rid of the esky motor and ESC will likely take care of the issue, I'm...

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop

I'm going to swap out my esky motor and ESC in 2 weeks, I'll swap the ESC first and see if that solves the throttle problem before I install the new motor.

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop

Thanks Betapilot, I'm leaning toward the ESC as well, I believe I'll take your advise and swap the motor/ESC, now I just have to start learning the motor differences, 3200, 3500, my brain still hurts...

RE: Honeybee King v2 tuner shop

Well, I'm very good with soldering and circuit boards, with the symptoms it doesn't really sound like a bad solder joint to me, but I'll get out my VOHM and check it to make sure.
