RE: Venom Flat Packs

The Intellect packs are great performing packs, but be careful not to over heat them they are not as forgiving as some other packs are. I find them to be a little too fragile for my taste. RC...

RE: Venom Flat Packs

That's great! Maybe Venom packs have changed since the last time I used them, but on the other hand my lhs won't carry them anymore, because they said that they had too many complaints about them and...

RE: Venom Flat Packs

I would stay away from Venom packs they are garbage. Unless you like battery packs that up and quit on ya without warning.

RE: Gluing tires to aluminum wheels?

I had a set of aluminum wheels and I was told that 2 part epoxy resin works best. I never had a chance to try it for my self, because I since then sold my aluminum wheels. I found that CA glue...

RE: LST questions?

It's a cheap and quick fix for someone that doesn't have a charger and battery pack or for someone like me that doesn't always have time to charge up receiver pack. I've used this a lot to keep me...

RE: LST questions?

Or if you don't want to buy a battery pack and charger, you can get a 4 cell AA battery holder like this one.

RE: Aluminum Fuel tank??

I have the RD logics aluminum fuel tank and I absolutely love it, that is so far so good. Sure it weighs more, but I didn't buy my LST2 for performance, I bought it for bashing around in the dirt. If...

<p style="margin-bottom: 0in">I beg to differ, if you look at the exploded view of the their trannys for the XL-5's including the Stampede you'll find the part numbers indicate that they are all...

RE: Deans or Traxxas Connectors

There was a time when I liked Dean's better than Traxxas HCC but after using both for a while I actually come to like the Traxxas HCC better. Not because Dean's are no good performance wise I think...

RE: Anderson Powerpoles

They just crimp on to the wire and I believe the most popular ones are 30 amp.

RE: batteries and a charger

Define good, like in compared to a IB cell or something similar then I would have to say no definitely not. If you don't want to pay lot money then you got to be willing to make compromises. In a nut...

RE: Come on. . Another XXL Mishap!!!

A cracked pipe would the least of my worries compared to the problems I had with Traxxas nitro's. I would rather buy an HPI nitro before I buy an other nitro from Traxxas. Their electric trucks are...

All the Traxxas XL-5 models now come brushless ready with all steel tranny gears and all the electronics are waterproof too.

RE: sway bars

I also used the thick ones on the front and back with a big improvement. I did not regret buying them at all, they were well worth it.

RE: Losi XXL Body Mount Posts

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the chassis on the XXL longer than the LST2 so I would assume the body shouldn't fit strait off the shelf.

Hey bigblock454XXL,
I was just wondering if that's...

RE: VXL Lipo cutoff way too early??

Ah yes, I did not see that. If you go by the numbers then that seems to be right and if that is the case than he got lucky at least his lvc works. I just automatically assumed without paying...

RE: Anyone tried water cooling their electric motor?

Aluminum trannys do an awesome job for helping keep motors cool and reduces tranny flex under extreme torque or maybe you didn't know that?

RE: Anyone tried water cooling their electric motor?

It's a nice idea in theory, but to be honest I think it would be more trouble than it's worth. There is nothing wrong with a good old fashion aluminum tranny.

RE: VXL Lipo cutoff way too early??

I have two VXL's and they both do the same thing, it's a Traxxas thing? I just learned to pay attention to battery performance and run them in NiMH mode with no problems. I'll be switching to Mamba...

RE: What gearing do you run in your VXL Stampede?

I would have to say yes fallow the chart that Traxxas has laid out, unless you are using something like a Mamba Max setup then I would gear it down to a 15 tooth pinion. Keep in mind though when you...

RE: I will never buy NiMh's again!

NiMH's can't handle the amperage that a brushless setup demands. If you are not careful you can easily cook a NiMH in a brushless setup. Lipo's are the bomb and when I switched I never looked back...

RE: bumper brace on AFT

I don't see why RPM doesn't make one. That was the first thing to break on my LST2.
