It should work the way you are planning on charging it. i dont know exactly what rate to charge it at, but .5A would be ok. The slower it is the safer it is and will keep the life longer.

i wouldnt recomend it unless you have the right tools/ supplies and a lot of knowlege in soldering. but otherwise it can be done.

if so try rebinding it. and check that you dont have the throttle reversed. if that doesnt work call or e-mail horizon hobby.
