RE: Re: Idea Fly4

Mine has a Rabbit controller that came with it. Have had it for almost 2 years (?) and have flown the props off it. Has some issues, but very minor - like one motor was overheating and I replaced...

RE: NEW DLE 20cc Gasser! (Data & Links 1st Post)

RE: 15cc Gas RCGF engine information thread

No, with this one you will still need two packs. I use a 2200mah 6v nimh pack for ignition, and a 4.8v 2200mah pack for receiver. I had 5 long flights the other day on my Cub and the battery...

RE: 15cc Gas RCGF engine information thread

Thanks, Dale. That is a great suggestion. So far even with alot of vibration in the midrange, the clip on has stayed on, but you are right it should be a spring clip. I put one on my choke because...

RE: 15cc Gas RCGF engine information thread

When you did it, did you split the crankshaft from the prop shaft? Just curious what is the proper way to torque a new prop shaft onto the crankshaft in this engine.

RE: 15cc Gas RCGF engine information thread

In hindsight, the problem I experienced with my prop shaft shearing was probably due to overtightening, as I was re-torquing the prop when the shaft snapped.

BP Hobbies sent me a replacement...

RE: 15cc Gas RCGF engine information thread

This engine appears to be an RCGF 15cc "version 2."

By the way, to all RCGF 15cc fliers: has anyone taken apart and repaired their RCGF 15cc engine?

RE: 15cc Gas RCGF engine information thread

What is the difference between the "old" prop hub and the "new" one, and what happened with the 45cc engines? Did the props let go while running?

RE: 15cc Gas RCGF engine information thread

My distributor has been very helpful. They agreed to send me another engine, so no problems there. What I'm concerned about is the underlying problem which I believe has nothing to do with the fuel...

RE: 15cc Gas RCGF engine information thread

RE: Top Flite '.60 size' P-51D Mustang ARF: Building & Modifications

RE: 15cc Gas RCGF engine information thread
