me, I have positioned the receiver just like you, i.e. in the plane's back - just opposed to the aft throttle servo.
Thought about the outside method (O-2 COM antenna) as well if...

apart from the matter of fact that I am operating an OS instead of a Saito I am facing the same problem right now.
