That radio will get you started but will be somewhat limited once you get past the learning stage, the 148 servos will work but you will wear them out I'd go with at least the ball bearing 3001's or...

600 should last you though a day of flying (6-7 flights), you can go with a 1000-1200 if your a person that flys from dawn to dusk.

For the price of the G2 I could buy a nice gyro or .60 size...
