X2 if you shim them right you wont have a problem at all.  Only time they blow is do to bearing failure which takes the pinion with it.  Use some good bearings (the HPI ones are utter Junk) and you...

I recomend the new savage xss with the 5.9. It comes with all the BP drive train parts. I do however recomend selling the 5.9 and getting a .28 either the (In order from best to worse)

I really like the High speed flux trans I am using.  If I want to run in the MT class at some tracks I have to change it over to the two speed.  No big deal really just 4 screws to change it takes...

yes.  Most tracks run a point series through out the year and 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each class get a gift cert.  One off events normaly offer prizes that very from a trophy, cash, or a kit or something.
