I could only get one run on a 1500 6 cell pack with the 14 turn, I had the same problem with heat, but I think it's just way too small of a boat for my application cause it wouldn't trim out to ride...

Ron are you taking about 540's or 550's? The boat came stock with a 550 and the 550's are supposed to be 14.4 volt motor at least they are on the land side of things. The 540's are good for 7.2-8.4...

Well with the 14 turn everything inside gets cooked and the run time with a 1500 is about 5 min. So until I learn a bit more the stocker will go back in, but will still be running my super rooster...

Got to run it yesterday with the mod 14x2 back in and the adjusted tabs. Made a huge difference and is very stable and driveable now, and has some nice speed to it.

I've gotten a tower hobbies turbo vee electric boat this week. Of course 24 hours didn't go by and a novak super rooster and a 14x2 mod motor found a nice little home. When running the boat I notice...

I know my Novak XXL's, Futaba's and even Tower's recievers have seen some type of water, mud and dirt, even a totally soaked novak super rooster and they all came out working the next day after...

Thanks for all the links. I sure they are all good boats but the prices are quite a bit more than I want to spend, plus seeing the tower boat, some of the features for it's price is very resonable....
