Thanks for the reply... Yes the jakadovsky looks good and is probably the best bet. However looking at the schematics of the thing, the drive is taken off a pinion on the compressor shaft and is not...

Hi Matt, Gosh I wasnt expect a reply that quickly!.
Yes as I understand it what I call a through shaft is one where the free turbine shaft
runs back through the compressor/power turbine shaft.

I think the Rambo helis were actually built up to look like the Hind A, Not what NATO classifies as the Hind D.

A similar looking a/c was used inthe movie RED Dawn, the one with Patrick Swayze in.
