RE: Walkera CB180Z Gears

How about a guitar C string flat wound?  That way if there is too much tension the flat wound would unreavel.  But then again, you would need metal gears to handle to torque.  Better yet, just a...

RE: Walkera CB180Z Gears

Hi Jeff,

Sorry, I love the 180Z and when it is in the air, I'm a little kid again.  I just get frustrated at times with all the bench work it takes to keep it flying.   I have several helis but...

RE: Walkera CB180Z Gears

A word of warning when working on the tail secton.  The VERY LITTLE set screw for the tail blades holder is SO SMALL that when dropped on the floor may disappear into a black hole like mine did !!!...

RE: Walkera 180Z Servos

Hello,

I've noticed that the way they mount is different then any other that I know of.  I've used the ESky Belt CP V2 servo on the tail and that seems to work OK.  You would have to trim the...

RE: Walkera CB180Z Gears

I don't know what TX you have but if it is say a WK 2402, this unit will only bind to one heli, plank, etc.  So I would suggest unbinding the TX first.  Then bind the new RX.  I'm not sure how to...

RE: Walkera CB180Z Gears

I set my servo to middle 90 degree like an upside down T then power on to make sure it still is at 90.  If it moves or is not at 90 I unscrew to arm and move it around to get it as close to 90 as...

RE: Autopilot

Guess I should ditch my KDS and look into a Co-Pilot and see if it will work for me.  Santa is coming, maybe I can bribe one of my grandkids to put in a good word for me when they see him :)

RE: Walkera CB180Z Gears

Hi Jeff,

RE: Walkera CB180Z Gears

Believe it or not, I just made a tail shaft using a piece of carbon rod from a heavy duty training kit.  The rod is the same size around so I cut it to length and shaved off the ends to match the...

RE: Walkera CB180Z Gears

Yah, I just stripped the main gear (Arrghh) and have to wait a week to get new so I ordered a bunch of all gears.  I'll have to try that grease and see if it helps.  Is the gap on the main gear set...
