RE: tires and rims??

That was actually in reply to Simmyoto, sorry.

Any of the Hot Bodies 7" tire/rim combos are very heavy. Nearly 6# for the whole set. It's extremely hard on your driveline, especially if you...

RE: tires and rims??

Keep a close eye on those wheels. Due to the weight of the tires/wheels, (nearly 3 pounds per pair), they tend to destroy the hex's pretty easily. If you do alot of jumping, they can be trashed in...

RE: This truck is just flat out crazy!

I'm in the same boat as you with the racing aspect of things. Depending on the track you run at, taller tires may not be needed. If you have a 150-200 ft straight, then you need the top speed, if...

RE: Which tires?

I currently have some 40 series pythons on velocities on the truck, and am getting the 23mm conversion and the wabash wheels. I'll post some comparison pics as soon as they show up. So far, speed...

RE: Which tires?

What's the diameter on those tires? They look larger than the 40 series.

RE: Monster GT WITH WASP 26

The carb's can be taken off and turned around on all engines, so no problems there. Also, it is recommended to pick up a new clutch kit with the .26 for the best fit. We put this deal together just...

RE: Math or Gear Guru's needed!!! Monster GT Real World Gearing and Speeds

This is for figuring out gearing. You can basically plug numbers in, and figure out real world speeds. The problem with people using the speed meter is user input. With numbers, there is no chance...

RE: Want to to buy the fastest 4wd truck on the market??

The big problem with doing 70mph in a truck, you will destroy it when you crash. It's neat, but impractical. 45-50 with the Hybrids is very fast for offroad, and 70 is strictly street. You take...

RE: Math or Gear Guru's needed!!! Monster GT Real World Gearing and Speeds

Here's a link to the formula sheet. It's in excel, and if you aren't familiar with excel, just click on the gear ratio and it will show the formula used to figure the number up top. Basically, all...

CEN Linkage Fix, How it should be...........

I've spoke to a few people now about the goofy linkage on the CEN MT2. The simple truth is that CEN doesn't do any final adjustment and proper setup on these at the factory. They should include...

RE: Math or Gear Guru's needed!!! Monster GT Real World Gearing and Speeds

Those are the easy parts. They change, and the layout I am using to figure this can be altered to check the speed at whatever tire diameter gear ratio, and rpm I choose. The problem is that with...

RE: tires for cen mt2

Ok, FTP was having a few hiccups earlier, but we're ready to go now. The first two are stock tires/rims for comparison. Those are offset rpm's with Ofna Spike tires. I have a few more combo's I'm...

Math or Gear Guru's needed!!! Monster GT Real World Gearing and Speeds

I don't want any kiddies posting crap in here about guessing speed. I need some Gear or Math Wizards to look at this formula and figure out what's misplaced.

Here's how it works out. All of...

RE: tires for cen mt2

We now have hub adapters for the MT2 to run offset maxx rims and tires. I suggest sticking to Ofna tires like the oval pins, or NIK tread. The RPM offsets are best to run as they give the most...

RE: Just ordered a CEN MT2

We have hub adapters now, the first batch is prototypes and fit very snug on the pins. Future batches will have a looser tolerance applied.

I already have tons of tires and rims that work with...

RE: Newbie and CEN MT2

Here's a battery mah lesson for ya.

Look on the charger, it probably says something like 170 mah, or 120 mah. Lets say you have a 1700 mah battery in your glow igniter with a 170mah charger. ...
