While I have never tried to use 2 different ESC together, I would have to think that would be a problem just by experiencing different ESC in single applications. Just the power up sequence time can...

Well with the measurement they are 700 size motors but not Graupner 700 Speed BB so we may not know the voltage rating or the rpm s. Graupners come in 3 different voltage ratings. Do you have a...

Don't mean to be pesty but they are definitely not Graupner 700BB s if they are 700's. Most 700s have 4 cooling vent openings around the entire circumference of the housing at the brush end of the...

motors

Hard to tell from the photos but your motors appear to be to small to be 700s. A 700 is about 3" long counting bearing housings but not shaft and about 1 3/4" in diameter. HTH I would be afraid...

I say trial her with the 1.75s. Mine ran good with them but motors got a little hot. Just check yours for heat as your boat might even be lighter than mine.
TAKE PICS!!

RE: the unofficial home of the dumas dauntless

Not a Dauntless but DF was asking to see photos of my latest project. I picked up an IMEX grand Banks Trawler that was a ARTR model. I converted the twin screw s to separate throttle as in my...

RE: the unofficial home of the dumas dauntless

2" props are to big for 700BB motors and will overheat the motors and or ESCs. DF and Rich are running 1 3/4 andI found mine runs best with 1 1/2 and am using Graupner 700BBs and Astroflight 208D...

RE: the unofficial home of the dumas dauntless

DF, what you are experiencing is known asvariation and is common on magnetic compasses in the real marine world when mounted on a vessel with any magnetic material aboard. They compensate for it by...

RE: the unofficial home of the dumas dauntless

Steve, what Rich is saying is that the cabin roofs on big D were not domed but had a gentle arch as Dumas made it. What dumas did not have you do was put a smooth curve transition from the top to the...

RE: the unofficial home of the dumas dauntless

Sounds good Bob. Glad my S.W.A.G. seems to work. I'll be away for a while on the briny but anxious to hear how sea trials go.

I've been working on this build and sea trialed her this past Sunday...

RE: the unofficial home of the dumas dauntless

Steve, Not sure what you meant about part C. The plan calls for it to be even with the deck. Real boat had it even with the cabin side. If you make it the height of the cabin sides you have to figure...
