C2 and C4

I have seen in the different replies a reference to C2 and C4 when charging batteries. What does that refer too? I am used to charging in amps and delta cutoffs of anywhere from 3 - 5 per NiMH cell....

I am thinking of either a 4 channel or 5 channel Hitec Flash radio for use on multiple models. So far I have only used 3 channels but am going to build the GWS PT-17 Stearman so I need 4 channels....

4-channel radios

I am planning on building the GWS Stearman PT-17. It needs a 4-channel radio. GWS sells one pretty cheap. I do not want to spend more than 125.00 and less is better since I am new to this. I fly the...

1.7 gearbox

OK guys, I will give a report as soon as I get it up and running. Did not realize that you do not have to take off the small gear on the motor shaft. I dinged it up real good with pliers trying to...

Sky Scooter

As far as I know (not much) the folding prop will not fit the ServoCity 3:1 gearbox because that comes with the fittings for an APC prop. I have not yet installed my gearbox because they sent me the...

The battery size problem

If you want to fit a larger size pack in you might have to trim the compartment after you cut out the right side. I am going to use a round file to sort of trim where each of the nimh cells contact...

Heat and the battery in Sky Scooters

As far as I can see it, heat is the biggest problem with the Sky Scooters, engines and batteries. With all that foam, nothing gets dissipated.

When and if you cut the right side, be sure to keep a...

Mod weight gain

The mod itself could really cause no measurable weight gain. The 9,6 nimh pack is eight cells instead of 7 Nicads, so you pick up the weight of one cell. Really nothing compared to what is supposed...

Sky Scooter Pro II Aileron Horn Loose!

No screws on the Sky Scooter Pro II ailerons! I noticed what appeared to be the heads of white plastic nails of some sort. But on examination it revealed that that was simply the "glue" squirting up...

Sky Scooter Pro II Aileron Horn Loose!

I bought my Sky Scooter Pro II over a year ago and flew it a few times. I think during storage over the winter the glue holding the aileron control horns must have dried out. I flew last sunday and...

I know I read this question in another forum but...what is the correct tightening of the stock Aerobird tail screws? Just barely snug? I would think you could not then do the trim adjusting that the...

Aerobird Boom Repair

About repairing the boom - what about using a clamp such as you use for fuel lines, etc. that goes around the fuselage where the boom exits? That way it could be tightened enough to keep it from...
